My job was the Kitchen Manager for all 3 centers...La Crosse North, South (now closed), and Onalaska. I was in charge of cooking the food, distributing to the children at North, and making deliveries of food to Onalaska and South. The entire time I felt like I had my managers on my side, but I was sorely wrong, and I learned that in the end. Susan, the financial director at Onalaska, 99 percent of the time either had an attitude, or was snoody with me. I am nice to people, until they screw me over or have an attitude with me. Jennie, the Executive director was nice to me until my last week there, and then she started being rude. I could rip them up and down a new one for what they did to me, They fired me by pinning my co-workers mess and lack of work on me, which was pretty unfair. It was a ploy to get me out of there, but they did nothing, but a favor for me. I am in school now in my Music Ed program, and the biggest joke of all, is that I was quitting within 2 weeks of me being fired anyways, lol.. I wasn't allowed to speak and was talked over when I told them about what they do wrong. Of course they didn't want to hear it, and that's fine. I got the last word and my point across, they know what they do is wrong which is why they have high turnover. I'm so much better than that place and I will be much more successful than Susan and Jennie. Amanda is the other director, but she was always really nice to me, and I appreciate her and ONLY her! Well, after my children not having the memory to attend their senior proms due to systematic…read moremistreatment that is so covert there is hardly ever any evidence, the reality gives new insight to how others in such communities can have the right to agree or decline a human being's right to childhood memories that could have been happy. After a few of my children there, it seemed the entertainment and how the minority performed was much more important than the true values and mission of any principles. My daughter Jovanna was systematically bulllied and mistreated in her 8th grade while there, while under the veil of "christian morals" I got evidence even a few "parents" joined in. It was so bad she had to transfer schools that left her childhood in ruins because of inequality right to good memories. Go to La Crosse, WI, single mothers, because that community AND state won't bat an eye to remind you of your minority status and your inequality rights. Go the other way.

This school is nice. There are lots of stair railings to slide down. The staff here are friendly…read more(for the most part). And there is no shortage of things to do here. The grungy aspects of this school include (and are not limited to); some of the aggressive ghetto kids that try to pick fights with one another every other day, these same ghetto kids asking for cigarettes every break period, and the security cameras that, surprisingly, make you feel less secure. However, kids will be kids. I enjoyed my few years at this school.
