I've been going to Christian (Chris) Dionisio for close to 10+ years now. I started going to him when I was still in high school, now I'm currently living out of the country and I still schedule my haircut with Chris when I visit. Overall Chris provides a great welcoming social atmosphere upon each visit. Over the many years I've been going to him, I've changed my style so many times and he's always delivered. My husband came home after getting his hair cut by Barber Mike. It was the worst cut I've ever seen. (Which you will see in photos) my husband comes running in the house looking for something to cool his neck. He finds a rag and rubs his neck, the cloth was black... Dirty blades. Also, it's not hard to cut a mustache or line up his hair... But he messed up bad. I call the Barber to figure out what happened and offered to send him the photos, he said he didn't know where I could send them and had an attitude like I was wasting his time. No my husband is not coming back to someone who can't cut hair, and I tried to do him a favor before posting on yelp.... But clearly he doesn't give a damn. This review is for BARBER MIKE who cut my boyfriends hair; ITS HORRIBLE. First of all, does this barber know how to cut hair symmetrically? The barber rushed cutting his hair, didn't seem like he cared either. He did his hair line uneven, and all around his head uneven! The guy didn't even clean up behind my boyfriend's ears. He cut his beard ugly too, and I hate when barbers mess up my boyfriend's beard! My boyfriend would rather drive and go to San Jose to get his haircut than come back here. And like he said, he's NEVER coming back here, and this is the worst haircut he even received. DON'T GET BARBER MIKE. He needs to either start caring and do a good job, or get kicked out. read more

It's kinda cool how this spot is pretty much someone's converted house. I like joints like this because you get a really home-like feel. They got a cool atmosphere inside and a big flat screen TV going on while you wait for a cut. The wait might be long because the barbers take their time. That's good though since they want to do a quality job. The barbers seem like they care for their clients and that's important. This was my first experience at a barbershop like this. First time coming here to get my sons haircut by Mike. My son has been here before so he pretty much knew the deal. Such a nice clean facility and much more like a home feel going in. As soon as you walk in the door you see the guys and the chairs and to your right another part to it with more guys. Overall a great experience seeing my guy get his cut by his regular barber and behaving himself. Mike did an awesome job and I see he does well with kids by how he dealt with my son. This place is a bit hard to find since it looks like a converted house, especially in the damn rain! But once you get there, its a very laid back, and typical barber scene. Most of the customers seemed like regulars since the barbers were having full out conversations across the room with them. Clientele was very diverse from little kids getting fades, grown men getting lined up and beards trimmed, and younger guys opting for fades or in my case, the baron davis/kanye west "mohawk." I had no idea which barber was best, so I just sat down at the first guy who approached me. Big guy, first set on the lower level. Haircut was good and quick. Missed a few spots on the top, and the line up could be a little more subtle, but not so bad that I'd consider shaving my head after. After all, I did get a few compliments on my hair, so it couldn't be that bad. Right? I hear that most of the barbers there are legit from what my friend who goes there says, and the price is fair. $17 for a cut, so about 20 after tip. I'd go back. read more

Don't come here unless you're going to make an appointment by phone. Otherwise, you don't matter to them. Got 2 haircuts here before on separate occasions - new to town and this was the closes place with decent reviews. I'm not a stickler on perfect haircuts so I just accepted the subpar haircuts (both of them) from the same barber, moatly because it's a conveniently close shop and wasn't sure if other shops would be any better. Being from Miami, you can find a great barber on any corner - not the case here in Vallejo. Anyway, I had to give this 1-star review after one of the barbers decided to sit me down and cut my hair since his appointment was not showing up. After a couple of minutes I was told to get up and wait because his late appointment finally showed up. So I just walked out and don't plan on returning. Like I said, both other times I got cut the cuts were maybe 5/10. But honestly how are you gonna kick someone out of a chair after your appointment was late? Horrible customer service. read more
