When in reality they hate their jobs, they hate their lives, and they hate their students. We understand that the pay is crappy and the kids can act like wild goats at times, BUT YOU PICKED YOUR CAREER. So please, try to make the best of it, and pick fights with people your own age. Stop taking it out on the students you took an oath to serve. Teachers here are notorious for having disagreements with parents and then mistreating students to fight with parents. This is extremely unprofessional and shows that you are a miserable human being. Please seek the therapy that you so desperately need. PTA The PTA Is nonexistent here because Haynes teachers are not interested in the well being of students. Obviously if parents had a say, the teachers wouldn't be able to bully, harass, and mistreat students. Therefore they discourage parents from helping by instilling fear and using intimidation tactics to silence parents in the community they serve. Principal The principals never last here and the reason why is because teachers bully him/her until the point that they leave. It's sad because most of the time the principal does care about student's wellbeing, but he or she is obligated to defend staff members (harpies that call themselves teachers). It is an ongoing battle internally as well as externally. No one deserves to be covering up for adults (teachers) that have difficulty being fair and polite. Education The education here is beyond basic, I'm surprised anyone that graduates from here knows how to read, write, or do math. There are very few field trips because the school keeps the money as does the district. Advice DON'T SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! Homeschooling is a better option. As far as this school goes, it's trash and like trash, it should be taken out. Shut this place down and hire teachers that act their age and are truly passionate about what they do. Make the PTA an essential part of this school to keep teachers and parents on check. Checks and balances are strongly advised!

I told her we were just Christian.. she said what kind of Christian.. I said.. well, I was raised Mormon (because I'm honest) I didn't say this part.. Finding myself and my truth was the hardest thing I've ever done. Breaking away from the Mormon church in Utah.. was no easy task. However I did it for me and my kids and I'm proud of the choices I've made. I don't care for organized religion. So.. I told her we were christian. Because we believe in Christ. I'm open to it all. Catholics, Protestant, Mormons, Even atheist. Because I don't judge. I just love. She then said.. We don't accept Mormons. I said... I just told you we aren't Mormon. (Haven't been for 10 years) She said. Oh right. You said that. She proceeded to say that people new to the area need to establish a church and wait 3 months. Then get a pastor reference. I get it. I'm a rule follower. However, am I suppose to put my kids in public for 3 months? Then switch them as they're getting acclimated? Or just not put my kids in school and wait to see if they accept us. Already judging us? That's not very Christ like. I don't care to be apart of a school or church that's judge mental. That's one reason I left the Mormon religion. The lack of knowledge and lack of understanding was a humbling conversation for me. After her saying all that. I said, You know what? I don't think this school is right for us. The school staff office, teachers and Principal Mr. Ramirez, has welcomed my family with open arms. I love this school!! We enrolled our daughter to K, and she has bloomed very quickly. She's speaking up more and giving new ideas. I'm very impressed. Yes, the school hasn't opened yet, but that hasn't stopped the school from teaching. Not only do the teachers here go above and beyond to ensure students excel In their learning. But the parents believe so much in the school that there is a tremendous amount of volunteers. I'm sure the one person who had a short, less than a day experience would not be able to speak of the quality of the teachers and program. Students may be Hispanic, but not all Hispanics learn Spanish at home. My English only boys have become fluent bi-literate speakers, readers, and writers. I'm proud to say that my kids go to Central Language Academy!!!

The principal is super sweet, amazing and understanding. She takes her time getting to know the student and I've seen her interaction with the teachers and staff and she's super kind. I always see her around campus making her presence known unlike many principals at other schools. The Vice President is also super kind and always around as well. My sons teacher is AMAZING! Love her! The kids so far all seem super kind, they're inclusive and even take the time to come and communicate with my son through the interpreter and or white board. I'm seriously bummed that my son will no longer be here next year. Their pick up/ drop off strategy is so convenient and quick. The office ladies are so nice and always so helpful. They really do have the most amazing staff. I cannot express how much I love this school but again it's the people here that make it what it is.

Monica has done an amazing job at implementing these changes and she has been so professional and courteous. I'm hoping that in time, more of the activities mentioned such as STEM and the arts are added as well. One issue that my kids have is that they state it can get rather noisy during homework time which impacts their ability to get it completed. Aside from this, they are generally happier with the changes.

I am a student studying child development-- how young brains develop and grow and what they need to do that best. It's like they took the textbook on how to make the best preschool and did the exact opposite. I only observed the two year old class for three hours, so I can't comment on much else. But my god. The kids weren't allowed to do anything. During nap time they were forced to lie down and not talk, and if you didn't want to nap, just stare at the walls, I guess. Even during snack, if you were done eating, you were not allowed to even get up from the table. There weren't even any toys outside OR inside! No shovels, no blocks, no stuffed animals, nothing. Half of the playground was made off limits because they dug a hole! A HOLE!!! With their hands because they're not allowed to have any play tools! They're so desperately hungry for any stimulation, a few of them just stared at a dead lizard outside of the fence for like ten minutes. I wish I was making this up. And because there is nothing to do, the kids pass the time by hitting each other and trying to get any attention from the teachers. With the place already understaffed, it's a nightmare. The most depressing thing is, this could all change in like two weeks of the director was willing to change at all. I spoke to some of the teachers, and they know exactly what is wrong, but can't do anything because Big Boss Up Top refuses to listen to anyone. I asked her why, and she told me "because they have to learn their ABCs." Micromanaging and stressing out your staff and students does not help them learn. Running a classroom like a meat farm does not teach them anything besides helplessness and frustration! Two and three year olds are supposed to be developing their independence at this age, but all of these kids were dead quiet and had no idea how to interact with anything. I'm actively begging you not to send your kids here. Please.

This school does have a few teachers who show concern but it is terrible to see how much most of the staff does not care and works harder to get $ for the school. Having teachers yell "shut up and sit down " is inappropriate but that's the type of teachers this school has to offer.
