Fay is friendly, professional and amazing at her job. The vibe of the salon is also very welcoming and relaxed. Heads up salon is next to American Savings Bank and Dave's Ice Cream in Pearl City Shopping Center. Fay gave me the best, and not to mention the fastest cut I've ever had. Seriously I was shocked! Taking into account everyone's busy for the holidays, and I can in between work - this was perfect! She started with a consultation, taking my considerations into mind. I also appreciated she listened to my concerns and didn't try to oversell me on unnecessary additional treatments or products. I also have very thick hair, so I asked her to thin a lot of it out but she recommended against it as it would make me look too shaggy. I appreciated the individualized recommendations! Then she washed and conditioned my hair. Her haircut was so precise and just the perfect look I was going for! She is also the first stylist to not snag any of my piercings. I know I have a lot, but previously, every stylist I've gone to had snagged them so this was a first for me! She also recommend some Loma purple shampoo and conditioners to last me a year! For the quality, price and service (products included) it can't be beat. Thank you Fay!! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

After trying a number of places, and dropping a bit of cash along the way, a fellow passenger on a flight (with a great haircut) connected me with Cindy. Cindy's Chair is a one-woman show with a loyal clientele. As a first-timer, she sent me a great, detailed map. She schedules / communicates via text, which works really well for those on the go, and once you find her shop, parking is readily available. For planning purposes, her business is cash-only. She asked for a headshot of my favorite haircut ahead of time, which gave me peace of mind trying a new shop for the first time. Her shop is immaculate and calm. There's no corporate 'manufacturing line', heavy plus-sell feel...just attention to detail and light, fun conversation.

If you're looking for men's/women's cut or color, Aunty Rose (Beck) is the lady to go to!! She has been color my sister's & my hair for years now and I am always pleased when I leave. Just let her know what you want & she'll politely suggest what would be best for you--def a great listener & wants to make you, the customer happy! She is also a super personable lady; she always remembers where we last left off in the conversations 6 mo.-1 year prior. My dad is also a fan of her haircuts--he is actually the reason why we started coming to get our color/cut by her! The location itself is "home" to 8 or so other hairdressers whose expertise ranges (sorry I don't really know much about anyone else...or their names either). The place is very clean; they rennovated it about a year ago so it's pretty nice. Nothing super modern but def not a place stuck in the past. They do wash your hair & that area seems clean! There is also a comfy waiting area if you bring along a friend or significant other. I believe they also have nail services available & if you're looking for the latest collection of OPIs I thinkkk they usually have a display. Idk why the reveiws here are so low...I guess there have only been two...but if you want to defy the odds, call Aunty Rose (808)-224-5155!! [She only accepts cash or check]. I use my hair straightener that is less than $40 that I bought from Don Quiote and it does a great job than the crappy $65 flat ironed job that this old hag gave me. I sat in the salon for over an hour and a half. 1hr and 37 minutes to be exact. This lady kept spraying my hair with what i think was firm hair hair spray. Why? She says it keeps the hair flat!!! WRONG!!! As soon as I left the salon, I saw my hair rising and on top of that the front started to have waves. So, I paid to get tortured and have my hair not straightened like how it's suppose to be. So ladies and gents, find another place to go if you need your hair done. I don't mind paying the outrageous price because I've never had to pay no more than $40 to straighten my hair without shampoo. It also includes tip!!!! But this place sucks and I will never go back!!

Spent some time online searching for a new haircut to fit my hair type and face shape and when I finally found something I liked, I had to find a place I could trust that wouldn't mess it up. Searched on yelp.com and came across this salon. It had a good review so I thought it was probably worth a try. Keone was amazing! A true stylist and artist. He was so knowledgeable and spoke with such confidence that I could tell he definitely knew what he was doing. This in turn gave me confidence in him, especially since I wanted a drastic change in my hair. I showed him a picture of what I had in mind and he was able to make slight changes to make it work with my thin hair and round-shaped face. I really love my haircut. I will never settle to go to a cheap place to get my haircut ever again. You definitely get what you pay for. Keone was so personable as well. There was never a dull moment while sitting in his chair. I decided to also be spontaneous and put a chunk of red in it and it turned out just fabulous. I've gotten lots of compliments. One cool feature at this salon is their Serenity Room, where you can relax and enjoy a short shampoo massage. The room has the perfect ambiance for relaxation. In addition, Keone was never pushy about selling hair products. He recommended a few and provided explanations for the use of the products. I ended up purchasing a few. At other places I've been, they were always pressuring me to buy hair products even when I wasn't interested. I find that so annoying. As a first-time customer that never got referred to this place, I would highly recommend this salon to anyone else.

It is located on the second floor in Newton Center. Parking is validated and appointments are required. I am one of those who would try a new stylist only through recommendations and if I don't like what they do, I never go back. In the case of Robin, I went to see him when he was renting a chair from another salon in Newtown Center. He came highly recommended by my co-worker. I needed a new look. But he made me comfortable and started slowly by just doing a highlight that you could only see if the light was shining on it. I like it so much, I had him do something else on the next visit. Then the next it was something different. Then I found the perfect look I wanted to keep for awhile. After getting bored with my look, I would go to hi again and tell him to do something new. He then would come up with a new look for me that I never would have though of. My lifestyle has changed through out the years and he has styled my hair based on my needs. He could always figure of how to cut my fine asian hair and make it look full vibrant. He is one of those stylist that you can trust. he does cuts and colors based on your lifestyle andSo I told him to use his judgement and do what he thinks will look good on me. And that was history. I have been seeing him for the last 15 years. Although now live on the East side and work in town, I still drive all the way to Aiea to see him. If you need a new do or want to try something new and fresh.....all Robin.
