I haven't written a yelp review in a looooong time, but these two are just so awesome I couldn't help myself (wishing for a 6 star option). Since we are not using a videographer, the pictures were the one thing we wanted to splurge on. After researching and meeting with several photographers, I knew these two were "the one" after the first 15 minutes of meeting them. I can't remember exactly how I stumbled upon them (I think they were featured on Style Me Pretty), but it was their style and perspective that first caught my attention. I didn't want the typical cheesy posed type of pictures (you know what I'm talking about). Their style is different, artsy, and they incorporate leading lines and cool lighting. We shot our engagement pics at a nearby park and my cheeks were hurting by the end from smiling and laughing so much. They were also great with our dog Lady (they have an adorable Aussie named Blossom - her and Lady are probably kindred spirits). So not only are these guys talented, but they're also are fun, easy-going, and truly salt-of-the-earth people with great customer service. My husband and I knew we wanted Erin and Randy to take our wedding pictures from the get go. Their pictures are just so fun and at the same time incredibly beautiful and we knew that's the vibe we wanted for our pictures. Wow, I just got a chance to see the photos and Randy even made a lug like me look good. My wife on the other hand already looks good so he made her look like a movie star. My husband and I chose He & she photography, out of the many options on the cental coast. We're so glad we did. We didn't want to be posed and told to smile at the camera like typical wedding photos. We wanted more of an artistic documentation of our wedding day and that's exactly what Randy gave us. Not only did he work with our budget but he was so nice and just rolled with all of the unexpected whoops' during the whole wedding event. My husband and I were both terrified of being front and center the whole day but Randy captured the best moments and we actually looked relaxed and natural. Randy and Erin seriously MADE our wedding. They came highly recommended from a couple, and my husband and I could not have been happier. My other friends who have had engagement shots before (from other photographers) told me that their sessions took all day (around 6 hours) and included countless outfit changes. That honestly did not sound fun for me. Randy and Erin shot our e-session at a beautiful location (their recommendation) in San Juan Capistrano and it took 1.5-2 hours total. They got the perfect shots right before the sun set and they are TRUE professionals because they knew the location and how to place us in the shots to get the best lighting and angles. They don't mess with distracting props, but really focus on capturing me and my husband's personalities through laughter and beautiful scenic landscapes. Everything moved so efficiently, but never rushed. My husband and I are not used to photography sessions, but Randy and Erin made us so comfortable and we were laughing the entire session. Our photos were more than what I had ever expected and our wedding photos were even better! The style of their photography is unique, artistic, and all around beautiful. The coloring in all of our shots came out so well and they were able to capture so many natural and candid moments. Looking through my wedding proofs was like reliving my entire wedding all over again. They are very responsive to emails, always punctual, and very personable. Finding the right photographer was one of the hardest parts in all of our wedding preparation. Well, needless to say, when we found He & She, we we're blown away and our search stopped. Their style was so creative and perfect, we instantly fell in love with them. They are an outstanding creative duo who know exactly what they are doing. They can see imagery in their minds so well and are ingenious with how they shoot your wedding. They covered our wedding incredibly well and didn't miss one important thing, we really felt like they captured our special day so perfectly. Randy and Erin shot our wedding in August 2013 in Portland, OR. This duo seriously knows how to capture people's joy. Not only did they capture how ridiculously happy we were that day, they effectively captured this wonderful strange city we live in.
