Words cannot express how amazing Allyson Magda Photography is! We worked with Jill Hewston for our wedding this year in May and she was AMAZING! She made us feel so comfortable and took a TON of photos. The whole time we were laughing with her and truly felt like we were working with an old friend. The comfort and ease she provided, allowed her the opportunity to take honest shots of us just being ourselves. We thought it would take months to get all our photos back but it took a mere 3 weeks! And they were all so beautiful! Would 100000% recommend Jill and Allyson xoxo Erin W read more

We cannot recommend Allyson Magda Photography enough. Jill was the photographer for my sister's and brother's weddings and I knew once I was engaged who I wanted to be the photographer. Allyson was easy to contact and always prompt with her responses. Jill arrived on time and was able to pick out awesome spots for pictures despite never having been to that venue before. Jill made my husband and I feel at ease and super comfortable throughout our shoot. She gave great suggestions and helped us pose for the best pictures possible. Jill definitely prioritized our requests and made sure that we got all of the portraits we wanted. Again, I absolutely recommend Allyson Magda and her awesome team of photographers. read more

We highly recommend Allyson!! Her flexibility, punctuality, and kindness helped to create memories of our engagement that will last a lifetime. ABSOLUTELY Horrible Customer Service. How can you live with yourself to not reply to clients after their wedding? You've been paid in full for contracted services which included the production of an album. We have been attempting to get this album from you such an extended amount of time now it's beyond unprofessional. Every each we send you is tagged so we see that you open them and still no reply. We even went to the extent of calling the album fabricator to get things going and they can't get you to comply. What is your problem? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHOTOGRAPHER read more

I first met Allyson when my daughter was around 18 months. She took photos of her at the beach. Since then I have had her take photos twice, the most recent time last April when my daughter was 11. Allyson is incredibly talented. She stands you in the middle of a cow pasture and the photos come out beautiful! Even after you step in fresh cow poop with sandals on... I will continue to use Allyson in the future. She is smart, funny, and dependable in addition to being an excellent photographer. read more

They were super sweet and made sure I was getting exactly what photos I wanted, but they were also very knowledgeable and knew exactly what kind of photos to take and what would look best. Allyson is super sweet and was very helpful beforehand with everything. And I booked with them super last minute! I haven't even received my photos yet but I am so excited because I know they will be amazing!! They were both super patient with my large family and family portraits. Allyson photographed my wedding in 2007, and newborn images of my kids in the years to follow. She has also provided countless pictures from various wedding and winery events we have worked on together professionally. We used Allyson Magda Photography for our wedding and went with an Associate Collection package since ours was a rustic and simple wedding. We received above and beyond professional service with Jill Hewston, the associate photographer. I can't imagine what the regular collection work would have been beyond what was provided to us in this incredibly reasonable package. Jill's work and dedication at our wedding this past weekend was top notch. She has such great spirit and her photography assistant, Tina, are a joy to work with since they both have a knack for making people feel at ease and natural. We know it will come through in our photographs when we receive them! If you want a pro with boundless energy to work your wedding, Jill is it! read more

We worked with Jill @ Allyson Magda for our engagement and wedding photos earlier this year. Allyson made the informational/payment process prior to booking seamless and Jill was an absolute pleasure to work with. Jill (and Ali who helped out at the wedding) created an extremely fun environment and was sure to go through the checklist of photos we wanted (provided by Allyson) very quickly. The proofs came back beautifully and we are very excited to see them album as well. I would suggest having any and all photos you want captured on that checklist. They move so quickly (which is great and the day in general is a whirlwind) and on they day-of they won't ask you what you want so much as they refer to the list. For example, I forgot to put my bouquet down to get some photos of the front of my dress without it and we forgot to get some night photos overlooking the city so make sure you have everything you want on that list, even if they are reminders (like, photos without bouquet or without veil). Thanks for your awesome work Allyson, Jill, and Ali! read more

Wow!! Allyson did a stellar job of photographing the Paso Robles ARTSFEST this year. She captured the core creative essence and intention of the festival, and really; what more could you hope for in a photograph? The images she took are clear and polished, while still showcasing the whimsical colorful character of the event. The fun that was had shines bright through her lens and, on behalf of Paso Robles ARTSFEST, I can say we are so proud to show these images off! We can't say enough good things about Allyson Magda photography! We had Jill and Ali as our photographers and they were great about checking in with us beforehand and setting up a timeline and talking about what kinds of photos we want. Very friendly and approachable. And on the day of-they were timely, energetic, FUN, and on top of things. Guests asked us if we had hired 5 photographers because Ali and Jill were so fast and in so many places at once it seemed like there were more of them than there were. We had a great time with them (the photo session was actually a blast) and our pictures turned out AMAZING. People keep telling us what a good eye our photographers had. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Simply incredible. Allyson is a trust artist who works wonders. She took the time to see our wedding venue before the wedding, gave us suggestions and truly knocked it out of the park from the get go. She and her staff were easy to work with before and on the wedding day. They really made sure they were getting great shots and were true perfectionists. Allyson was so sweet and so happy that it was hard not to feel even more exciting on our big day! You can tell she loves what she does and that made it even more special to have her. She has great relationships in the wedding industry and everyone we talked to seemed to know her. Our videographer was delighted to hear he'd be working with her. It really made us feel comfortable and like we were in great hands. We are so lucky to have been given the opportunity to have her shoot our wedding! Thanks, Allyson! read more

I contacted Allyson to inquire about a mentor session because she is one of my all-time favorite photogs. She was so sweet and so helpful while being honest and constructive. Fast forward a couple of years and my husband and I now have an adventurous 7 month old baby boy. As I said in my previous review, I knew I'd want to call on Allyson when the time came for baby portraits, and was THRILLED when she was able to make the trip all the way to Marin for a photoshoot with my little guy. As expected, the photos came out SPECTACULARLY. Each one is unique, and collectively, all of them come together to tell a story. Her lens captured everything...from the curious wonder behind his wide eyes to the tiny teeth peeking out behind his broad smile. Babies grow all too quickly, and these moments are ones to treasure. Allyson is as talented with her wedding photos as she is with family/baby portraiture. I plan to have Allyson shoot all of his milestones from now on. It is difficult to describe, but Allyson's work is technically superior yet effortless. It warm and inviting...art that reflects the human spirit. There is nothing cookie-cutter about what Allyson does, and she does it with poise, professionalism and a genuine smile. I cannot recommend her enough! read more

Absolutely Phenomenal! I wish I could take credit for choosing Allyson to be our wedding day photographer, but I cannot. My wife heard of Allyson by word of mouth and then stumbled upon her website....annnnnnd she was hooked! I can even begin to try and put into words how beautiful the pictures turned out. In fact, a year later my wife and I still laugh when we look at them and are so amazed at how they turned out Every picture is a work of art and to be the image on her canvas is truly humbling. I have been told that there are certain things you CAN'T skimp on when you get married....and Photography is one of them. To work with Allyson was truly an honor and a great pleasure. It's hard to share with you just how talented she is and in all honesty, 5 stars really does not justify her talents. If you have ANY special occasion that needs moments captured in time, your FIRST call should be to Allyson to see if she is available. If you are lucky enough to book her....do it immediately, do not shop around, second guess or book your family connection on the cheap. Open the check book and put down the deposit, knowing that you have just made the best decision of your life. Now if only we could get in one of those wedding magazines....lol. read more
