My toddler has had several complications involving his ears and Dr. Hazelett came highly recommended. Although his office was very far away from our town, my wife and I decided to schedule an appointment based on his reputation. The appointment was scheduled over a month into the future. When the day of the appointment came, our family made the 2 and 1/2 hour drive to his office. When we arrived and checked in, we were told that Dr. Hazelett was out of town and that our appointment had been moved forward another month. They claimed to have attempted to call us, but neither my wife or I had any received any calls/voicemails from the practice. They were aware of how far we had driven, yet they made no attempts to work us into the schedule or let us see a physician's assistant. We reluctantly climbed back into our car and drove another 2 and 1/2 hours home. My wife and I both work in the healthcare industry and this is one of the worst examples of poor service I have witnessed.
Update: The practice mailed my family a gift card to compensate for the gas that we wasted on the trip. read more
