My very first appointment was double booked. I was told their calendar had not gone live yet, so another bride was there at the same time and I waited over an hour. I still moved forward because Samantha assured me I would have the perfect dress and that if anything went wrong she would personally make it right. I bought my dress 9 months in advance, paid in full and attended every fitting. The first dress I received was incorrect and not what I asked for. I was not told about the factory mistake. I was then pushed to order a second gown, which arrived late and was still too large. I was promised a sketch of the original design that never came. I was told alterations and the veil were included, yet the veil I received did not match the gown. And I never received a veil for the first gown. The alterations I did receive were visibly substandard. There were holes in the fabric and pink stitching on white lace. Another seamstress who did my emergency alterations described the prior work as something a child could have done better. By July 4, just days before my wedding, the gown was still unfinished. Samantha cited a broken AC, and I had to send my mother to pick up the dress while I scrambled to arrange last minute alterations. Through all of this, Samantha continued taking on new clients and told me she had to "move on." I spent my 30th birthday trying to fix problems created by this shop instead of enjoying the days before my wedding. Thankfully, "Veronika's Secrets" fixed my dress before our special day. Veronika was wonderful. This was supposed to be a joyful time. It became a crisis. I cannot recommend this boutique to any bride. If you value honesty, quality, timelines, and basic professionalism, go anywhere else.

Great suggestions and service for our daughter. I will say I did not like that I had to pay $7 for a cloth to take the dress home with. I think that should be minimum that is included with the purchase.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your store…read more Based on what I endured, I would not--and will not--recommend David's Bridal to anyone I know. From the very beginning, my experience was disappointing. The consultant assigned to me was unprofessional and disengaged. After telling me to pick out dresses, she disappeared. When she returned, she handed me a few gowns with no consideration of my preferences, style, or budget. She made no effort to ask what I liked, and the dresses she pushed were far outside my price range and not reflective of my taste. She also attempted to push overpriced accessories that didn't match the dress and seemed more focused on upselling than helping. The store itself is in desperate need of a remodel. The dressing rooms were cramped, outdated, and frankly, not clean--adding to the overall poor impression. To make matters worse, after I selected a dress, I was charged for a veil I never picked out or agreed to purchase. This kind of upselling without consent is unacceptable. Shortly after purchasing the bridesmaid dresses, my family experienced a series of serious and unforeseen events. My sister and maid of honor was diagnosed with cervical cancer and required emergency surgery. While she recovered, my mother--who paid for the dresses--had to leave the state to care for my youngest sister, another bridesmaid, who has multiple sclerosis. Amid these emergencies, I still attempted to proceed with wedding plans. On May 15th, I learned my fiancé had been unfaithful, and the wedding was called off. I returned to town shortly after--only two days past your return policy--and came directly to your store to request a refund. I was told to speak with the manager, who turned out to be the same consultant I had issues with. Unsurprisingly, she refused to help. Given that her commission may have been impacted, I question whether this decision was made with fairness or integrity. Once the final bridesmaid dress arrived, I brought it back to the store to return. The associate who helped me was once again rude and dismissive. At a time when I am dealing with major personal and financial stress, this behavior was deeply upsetting. To make matters worse, your return process for online orders is fundamentally flawed. I had to hand over the merchandise, receipt, and return form with no acknowledgment or proof that the items were received. As a customer, I find it very troubling that there's no documentation provided--it leaves us completely unprotected if something goes wrong. David's Bridal seriously needs to reevaluate its customer service standards, return procedures, and in-store experience. I sincerely hope my feedback is taken seriously and acted upon. Additionally, I want to note that my sister, who has consistently purchased her daughter's prom and homecoming dresses from your store for years, will no longer be supporting your business either. Our family has given David's Bridal ample trust and patronage, and this recent experience has broken that entirely.
