I ended up at the Hazard center because of the Woodranch BBQ and grill that I yelped. It is a very nice two level, outdoor shopping center. A very nice variety of dining and shopping is offered here. Parking and finding your way to desired places is very simple. Everything is within walking distance. Hassle free parking, very clean and easy access to highway 163. Yes, parking is free. Only downside I noticed was the many transients in the area. A fellow yelper also stated the same issue. I think it is because of the nearby trolly. Below I also provided the center's website. https://hazardcenter.com/

Hazard Center is the mall that God forgot about. It is nestled in-between Fashion Valley and Mission Valley malls and it feels very neglected. Their are two things that I go to there: Quizno's and the movie theater. The rest of the mall is like ten times worse then most malls. There are children's stores as well as a Kinkos and a Joe's Crab Shack. There are some various other crap stores that aren't even worth the time to mention. I would recommend the theater as nobody goes there and they have cheap matinee shows. Grab a five dollar sub at Quizno's and sneak it into the picture and there you have a nice little afternoon... especially if your into theater hopping...

Yesterday was a real eye opener. For the first time, near Starbucks, there was a hypodermic needle on the ground.

Great shopping center. In stores great prices. But you almost will need a lot to go to the food court.

Smash Burger and Starbucks looked really tempting, but we needed to get off our feet and relax.

I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

Hello May!! Came to…read moreFashion Valley on what must've been an off Sunday because...where was everybody? I hadn't been here in years, fully prepared to fight for parking, but jokes on me. Endless spots to park! That's a first! Are malls dead now? How are stores surviving? Anywhoo, I still spent more than planned. Damn you, Sephora! Pros: *Surprisingly easy parking (a rare mall miracle) *Huge mix of stores from bougie to budget - Louis Vuitton, Coach, Hollister, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Neiman Marcus, H&M, Zara, and Gucci to name a few *Open-air vibe with palm trees; very San Diego aesthetic with a tropical feel; complete with fountains and artistic landscaping *Solid food options with a food court, cafes, and kiosks, Cheesecake Factory, Seasons 52, and my fav, True Food Kitchen *Clean and well-maintained and easy to wander around *There's a lot of variety here to keep you entertained *They have seasonal events that is a nice addition to shopping Cons: *Felt oddly empty for a Sunday..kinda eerie but it may be an introvert paradise *Dangerous for your wallet (you will overspend) *Some stores seem like they're hanging on by a thread *Malls just don't hit like they used to despite the pros- mainly because everything has gone up! Shopping isn't as enjoyable when things cost an arm and a leg. Overall: 3.5 Stars - Still one of the nicer malls around if you're in the mood to stroll, shop, and accidentally blow your budget (Guilty!). Would I come back? Only if my bank account approves!

I really…read morelike this place because it's clean, nice, and there are a lot of food options, so we can just walk around, relax, do a little shopping, and eat all in one area. There are a few restaurants here that I personally like, especially Din Tai Fung and Haidilao. There's also Starbucks and plenty of other spots depending on what you're in the mood for. The whole area just has a comfortable vibe to it compared to a lot of other malls. Parking has honestly never been too difficult for me either. Even when it gets busy, I can usually still find a spot without too much trouble.

Apocalyptically awful parking lot!…read more This parking lot is a chaotic, soul-crushing labyrinth that may very well be the single worst design I've encountered in my 79 long, well-traveled years on this planet. Upon entering, you're handed a cheerful little ticket promising a free first hour--how generous! What they don't tell you is that you'll spend roughly two-thirds of that hour trapped in a slow-moving purgatory just trying to escape. You've got about 20 blissful minutes to enjoy yourself before trying to join the line of cars that moves slower than a sloth on melatonin. I genuinely cannot tell if the exit gates are malfunctioning, cursed, or if the drivers ahead of me were participating in some sort of cognitive endurance experiment. Multiple cars took a baffling 4-5 minutes each at the gate--an interaction that should take about 10 seconds unless you're attempting to solve a Rubik's cube while blindfolded. By the time I escaped, I had aged another decade. I will absolutely never return to this parking lot. Bring a helicopter. Hope this helps.

Small shopping center next to the flower field, I mean directly next to it!…read more Found a cute purse at Coach that wasn't sold online anymore n was sold out everywhere else! Workers were very attentive and helpful. Actually had to go back and buy it bc I couldn't stop thinking about it lol Went to the toy store and found rare stuff my son was hunting for so that was a treat. The staff there were also very helpful and gave my son few free sleeves for his one piece cards. The place is very small, very clean and all the stores were organized. It wasn't very packed on a Saturday, it didn't feel that way but the parking was a hot mess. Lol maybe bc they share parking with the flower field. My favorite is the view of the flower field next door. Really is heaven on earth when you see such colors surrounding you.

Very strange that majority of the sales being advertised at the outlet stores here are "Buy 1 Get 1…read more50% off".. which to me, isn't much of a deal. Where's the 60, 70% off? Lol. I guess not too common nowadays. These outlets in general is pretty standard with pretty empty crowds so it's not hard to find a parking spot. The vibes here feel like more of a casual mall with the food and iced tea shops having more people in line for than any of the retail stores. However.. I was able to find a great deal at one of the stores! Still worth walking around to look and browse through some stores. Children activities.. they have a fun life-sized checkers board to play with and even a train ride.

This is definitely the party district of San Diego!!…read more Day or night, this area is rather lively. Lots of different shops, bars, clubs, and restaurants here. I was here during Halloween and it was packed with people that night. The best place to park here, to me, is in the large parking garage next to Petco Park. The whole area is best seen on foot anyhow. There are also some nice hotels here to choose from. The Convention Center and the Trolley are also here, and the Embarcadero is just a short walk away!! It is an area where the tour buses (hop on, hop off) stop, and horse driven taxis are prevalent. The quarter is very eclectic and fun to walk around. There is a wide variety of restaurants with many different kinds of cuisines. It is fun to look at the modern hotels and the historic buildings. The closer you get to the water, the cleaner the streets and much fewer homeless. As you get farther from the water, the number of homeless go up. Parking is tight, as is true throughout SD, so it is best to find a lot or a space, park, and just walk. Or just walk from your hotel. SD is a very walkable city and the Gaslight quarter is no exception.
