My daughter loved the kids area and the scavenger hunt, we roamed the rest just to see it and it's truly stunning with the giant windows. The librarians were helpful with the scavenger hunt clues and we really enjoyed our visit here. I did see they have a dvd player for rent if anyone is looking... :)

Boy, was I surprised. First thing I saw was a room equipped with (fairly new) computers, printers, and projector screen. The whole building had a very sleek and modern feel. The children's room was massive and really colorful-- there are toys and lots of space to read/play. There was a massive magazine room with a large selection. Downstairs there were more computers, along with large fiction and nonfiction sections. The shelves were organized and clearly labeled, which made them super easy to navigate. One of the books I was looking for was listed as in stock but not on the shelf-- when I mentioned this to the librarian during checkout, she checked the returns for me, and found it. Really impressed with this library. Wish it wasn't so much of a drive for me, because honestly, I'd be here all the time. What a great resource.

There is so much fun for FREE at the library! The librarians are super helpful and there's even a security guard at the entrance which makes us feel safer. Staff seemed very friendly and helpful. Didn't do a lot of exploration of the building but it had several floors each with numerous public use computers available.

The Manlius Library has all the stuff you'd expect at a library, and a tremendously nice staff. The attached cafe is nice and unpretentious, and staffed by volunteers. You can access any resource from any of the public libraries in the county, http://www.onlib.org/ , and this makes a vast pool of materiels that are available for borrowing. Request what you want online, and it will be delivered to the branch of your choice, and an email will inform you that it is in!

This location takes advantage of being in an old Stickley building and the library rooms sprawl throughout the building and include a children's area, study rooms, public reading and work areas where they sometimes host events, and maker labs. They have a huge selection of books, music, and other media here. The whole children wing is a big hit for my toddler and I love watching her interact with the other kids here. I consider this my "home" library even though I'm not a Fayetteville resident. That should tell you something about how its patrons are treated!

I spend more of my time here than I'd care to admit. Part of the life of a student (one who is…read morecurrently putting off work to write this review). The first thing I like about this library is the system they have worked out to let you know how quiet a section is supposed to be. Anywhere from social, to silent, you'll see signs posted around the library letting you know the appropriate sound level. Cuts out the ambiguity. There is also ample space allotted for each. I will say that parts of the library is open to the public, given that Upstate is a SUNY school. I personally think it's great to have it available as a resource to the community. But keep in mind that not everyone is a student when leaving stuff laying around. The student computer lab has both Mac's and PCs. The Mac's in particular are new, 27 inch iMACs. Pretty nice if you want to watch lectures or if like me, you consistently have a thousand windows open at a time. The hours are one thing I think could be improved upon. Upstate is the first school I've gone to that doesn't have a dedicated 24 hour library space. It closes at midnight during the week, which suffices most of the time. But on the weekends, they don't open until ten. Fairly inconvenient. Anyway, of the libraries I've studied at, this one is pretty nice. Clean with a super helpful staff. Outside of the occasionally slow WiFi, I don't have any major complaints.

To get in, you pick up a phone at the front door and get permission to enter. The quiet study lounge on the 3rd floor is only accessible to those with badge access. This library has 4 floors (if you include the basement floor, which I have not seen yet). The first floor has computers, puzzles you can play, and plenty of group desks. You are allowed to eat there as well. The 2nd floor has a lounge area that requires badge access. Parking can be tricky because this place is next door to a children's hospital where it is pretty busy. There is street parking but you're only allowed 2 hours of parking if it's before 6PM. The 3rd floor is a decent place to study because there are plenty of outlets, window seats and cubicle style desks with large countertops.

This is an excellent library in North Syracuse. They have lots of resources - books, DVD's, CD's,…read moreetc. They have a nice feature for very new movies where you can only borrow them for 3 days and they can not be reserved. In other libraries some patrons reserve the new movies to the point where it's booked for a year!!! There are 2 medium sized library rooms that can be reserved for meetings or a private work space. And a large meeting room where various groups can meet (yarning group?, the income tax folks, etc.). The staff is always polite and cordial.

So I was pleasantly delighted when entering the Lang Memorial Library in Cato, NY. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they clearly have good outreach to the surrounding town - everything from a robust mail service to people who cannot get to the library during open hours (shut ins, new parents with sleeping babies) to a knitting class to summer kids' programs. You can have something faxed, check the internet, get a movie or a book. Parking is no problem, there is a good sized lot behind the library. This place is a gem, and I salute them for the work they are doing! Next time we are in Cato I will be certain to pay them another visit.

As a sophomore at the very prestigious institution of Syracuse University there is only one place I…read morewant to spend my Friday nights: Club Bird. As the #4 party school in the U.S you might ask yourself why would Syracuse University need a library. You thought wrong. Besides visiting the brothers of ZBT, FIJI, or DU at their houses, the next most popular place to socialize is Bird Library, which is how it got its nickname Club Bird. There are 6 floors in bird ranging from the basement(the most social) to Floor 6 where if you drop your pencil you may get jousted. The higher you go up the more quiet you have to be(shhhhh). My personal favorite floor is 2. Fully refurnished, the perfect blend of quiet yet rowdy and just scozy. Even though Bird is my favorite spot on campus, I do have a few complaints which is why it gets a 4 star rating. 1). The lack of outlets 2). The lack of large tables on floor 2 which is why I always have to get to the library very early to reserve my space and 3). The long lines at Pages. The lack of outlets is a serious issue because in an age full of technology everyone needs their devices fully charged. They supply the chargers but not the outlets which is something I hope to fix second semester. Overall this place is full of vibrant students, talkative students, dedicated students and the ones who are looking for a comfortable and accepting place to do their work.
