I was referred to Sid through my Legalshield membership…read more Before meeting with him I was told that he wanted a $300 consultation fee, which he has every right to be paid for his time. The issue I have is after meeting with him and being told that yes I have a case, and he could help me, I received his contract. In the contract is clearly stated that he charges $225 an hour billed in 10 minute increments. I emailed him asking if according to his own contract he charges $225 an hour billed in 10 minute increments, why was I billed $300 for 20 minutes. For over a month I couldn't get him to respond, the referring law firm couldn't get him to respond, and legal shield corporate could not get him to respond. In fact I did not get a response until 40 days later when I left him a voicemail, stating a complaint with the New Mexico Bar Association has been filed against him. Rather than apologizing all he wanted to do was insult me. This guy is a con man and should have his license revoked.

I've bought and sold my own homes for years, so I know exactly what you do for that big commission of yours. By the way, I love my new agent - she is the whole package, and absolutely the spirit of "New Mexico kind" to strangers when they call her AND respects my own ability to be a home buyer. She is now not only looking for my new home there in Santa Fe, but also a new home for our business. Lesson here? Be nice and don't answer the phone if you are having a bad day.
