This is a really ghetto park; it looks like it's the current homeless / drug hangout at the end of…read morethe peninsula. There is pretty much nothing there besides a few cars parked there for good on a dirt lot. We immediately left after we got to the end. The road to the way there was filled with crappy cars that raced way above the speed limit; it seems this is the local hooligan spot... There were some kite surfers on the way there to look at but in summary, Port Angeles seems like a fairly sad place to live.

5/13/26: stopped in to check out some local wine after visiting Sol Duc Falls…read more Not only were we treated to good wine, but we enjoyed some local talent (Johnny) playing guitar & singing (yes, we sang along a bit; no, we were not tipsy :-) ). Washington's wines, or at least this region's, lean toward the dry side. Wind Rose did have a moscato they identified as sweet but I would say semi-sweet. It was still good! The appetizers we enjoyed were the meat & cheese plate, baked brie w/ sour cherry, and the olive tapenade & hummus plate. All very tasty. The server was a young French gentleman who was polite & friendly.

Completely. Fucking. Amazing…read more There are cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits, horses, cats, owls, ducks and more in this 100+ year old barn. The massive 1200lb Nutmeg greets you near the front, as do the several feral cats (some blind), and the spotted barn owl. Depending when you visit, sometimes you are able to feed cows potatoes with your hands (it's awesome, but very, very slimy), or feed baby cows (as young as 1 week old) from a bottle. They suckle on your fingers/clothes/anything you put near them. This is an active dairy farm, and they have a lot of education about how dairy farms work, which is also nice to hear about. They also give military ID discounts, which I think is pretty awesome since I have one :) The bad news is that they're only open to the public in April (unless you arrange a special group trip). This year, I'm not even going to the Tulip Festival to see the tulips.. I'm going to Cowtown. Seriously. There aren't words I can put into a review to give you an idea of how much I love this place, except to say.. if I were to die today and there was some sort of Heaven (and I mistakenly got in..), it'd be Cowtown.

An unusual sculpture garden and trail combined into one…read more I enjoyed the walk and the artwork along the trail. The trees, ferns and green growing things along the path were all so beautiful. Seeing the artwork and easy link to via the QR codes to the biography of the artist made it all the more interesting. It is a 40 minute bicycle ride the Ferry land to/from Port Townsend. Many people appeared to enjoy nice long walks during low tide. This does not appear to be a good beach for swimming. However, it was a cold day when I was there.

The chicken wings were deliciously juicy. Both appetizers were a great start to our meal. The pasta came next. Their house made creamy Alfredo sauce made all the difference and really took the pasta up to the next level. The sauce was light, but flavorful and clung so well to the pasta! The smoked salmon added a hint of saltiness and smokiness to the dish - this was my partner's favorite. It also came with a big slice of garlic bread. It was fluffy, light and of course, garlicky. The calzone wasn't bad but the way they made it there was way too much dough. The border was too much. My recommendation is stuff it with cheese or something else. Service was good, people were kind. One recommendation, when someone comes to drop off food, they should take away the dishes on the table rather than letting them all pile up making it hard to eat at the table.

Our waitress was rude, not only was she short and snappy with us, she did not apologize when she got something wrong and we were seated right next to the bar where their register is and we could hear her talking badly about her coworkers and other diners. She absolutely ruined our dining experience, especially when the food was incredible. The red pepper soup and grilled cheese that's like a caprese sandwich were both so delicious that I wish I could come back, but refuse to do so if that's the service I can expect.
