The experience I have had so far with the guy that comes out to give you the estimate (Bill) was not exactly thorough. When checking to see if the wood on your roof has any damage from the elements, you would definitely need to do some tapping on the roof. I heard nor saw him do anything of the such. He asked if I had any leaks, which I said no. He also was very soft spoken and was hard to hear. He didn't seem like he liked what he was doing. He told me I could text him if I had questions. I texted him with a question about pricing of additional materials and it took him 5 DAYS! to get back to me. Not exactly the best business practice. Hayes needs to find more business,/ customer oriented guys to do their estimates! As for the girl in the office, she was friendly, but when I initially called to get the guy out for an estimate, they didn't have anyone available (Bill was out of town, owner was sick) first week Feb. The girl in the office took over an hour and still did not call me back to let me know when I was going to get someone to come out to do the estimate. I then had to call back and find out myself. They need more people doing estimates. They only have 2! Hopefully I will have more competent service when the work actually gets done! I had to make my own notations on the proposal (estimate) paper so it would be understood by the girl in the office. This should have been done by Bill. Girl in office gave me an address so I could see the actual color of the shingle I was getting so I was sure I would be happy. The office computer they have has windows 8 software, which she was having a hard time with in order to show me color samples on the shingle company site. Business office is in a shotty looking office attached to a garage. Hard to find, down a hill way off road next to school. I will be posting about the actual installation later. read more
