I went to this elementary school from Kindergarten to 6th grade and experienced, honestly, the best years of my life!!!!
This school has taught me soo much that I've taken in and applied to this world and will continue to apply to this world in the future. I can honestly say that I learned more at Hayes Elementary School than I did in middle school, high school, and college all together. The first 10-15 years are the most important years in your life, since you are capable of learning, absorbing, and remembering much more than any other years.
Mrs. Noel...my Kindergarten teacher. THE BEST TEACHER I'VE EVERRRR HAD...before retiring, she has not only taught me, my sisters, my brother, my uncles/aunts, my cousins, and my nieces/nephews, but ALL of the "CHAHAL" clan that ever existed in that neighborhood (My Family)...with a special request from the school district. I miss her very much and I hope to bump into her sometime again in my lifetime just to show her how much we all appreciate her!!!
I've experienced and cherished a great deal from this school: fun and exciting field trips, holiday parties, playgrouds, best friends, summer-school, etc. And I remember most of those events and kept them as my best memories. In life you go through your highs and lows and I've been able to deal with most of my life experiences from the programs this Elementary School used to coordinate for children and dealing with real life situations.
I used to be (and still am sometimes) a very shy person. I use to help the teachers out during my lunch breaks so I didn't have to deal with the 'outside world'....and it paid off with a licorice or a now and later at the end of the lunch break :))
One thing I remember clearly is Science Camp!!! This trip is a 3-4 day trip that you go on with your fellow classmates and explore the outside world...the science of nature! Hiking, recreational sports, camping, plays, etc. It is very safe for your children and they have 1-2 camp leader/teacher/director per 4-5 kids throughout the event.
The students at this elementary school are very well behaved and the neighborhood is wonderful...you have streetguards, yard duties, and stop sign inspectors that makes sure of your child's safety, both before, during, and after school hours. The activity and programs at this campground is wonderful!!!!
The staff at this elementary school is just as great! From teachers, councilor's, principal, health care, back/front office, and yard duties!
I too, wish one day my kids go to the same elementary school as I, or somewhat close to Hayes Elementary School, but I doubt there's any other!!!
There's just sooo much good in this school that its impossible to write it all down...but Im sure, I will continue updating my review as I remember and cherish more memories down the memory lane as now my nieces and nephews will be attending the same school as their auntie in a couple of years!!! read more
