Awesome job! Friendly service. Did the service I asked to be done. Jean used quality products on the lawn and bushes.

Came to make sure all my pets were inside and then hopefully killed every mosquito out there.

Cancelling service, unreliable and difficult to get a service call if having issues. Have had the service for about 2 years and every time I have a wasp or ant issue it takes about 2 weeks to get anyone out to take care of the issue. Today's service was given a 4hr window for service and technician showed up over 2hrs past that window, also asked for a 30min heads up prior to arrival was given 5 minutes notice prior to arrival. read more

I called their office and requested service for my bees that were everywhere. They sent somebody out the following day. And their tech did a great job. They are very professional and thorough with what they do. I would like to give Ethan a ten star rating. He was very kind and made sure he understood what I wanted. read more

The representative was polite and professional, but I don't think he fully understood everything I needed. I also mentioned that the wasps are coming back, and I explained that I need treatment around the pine threes and sorrounding areas. I would appreciate a follow upto make sure the concerns are properly addressed. Thank you read more

Mallory from HAWX came to spray for spiders and other insects. Great job done. Polite and professional. Thanks

Your inspectors were both personable, knowledgeable, and professional. Their inspection was through as was the explanation of their findings. They represented your company well. Thanks for the inspection. read more

I cancelled my auto renewal and asked them to cancel my account when the subscription was over, and instead when the service was complete they switched me to a month to month plan without my approval. Very shady business practice in my opinion. read more

We have no problem with the techs. The biggest problem is with their communication and notification system. Last evening we got notification of service today "between 8 and 8". Really ridiculous, and emblematic of this company generally putting their schedule and convenience ahead of the customer. On other occasions, the tech insisted on coming earlier than convenient for us just "because he had finished his other jobs in the valley" and wanted to head back. Finally - the cost. We have quarterly service with monthly billing of $44, so $132 per service. This is excessive for two reasons: 1. We have never had any issues inside, so their service is only needed outside. 2. We generally have snow on the ground for two of the quarterly service, so they essentially show up and remove a few cobwebs. read more

over promis under deliver I had a disappointing experience with Hawx Pest Control. The salesman was enthusiastic, promising daily visits if needed and comprehensive pest and rodent protection backed by a strong warranty. However, after signing up, the service fell far short of expectations. The technician arrived and performed some spraying but informed me they didn't have rodent cages, despite rodent protection being a key selling point. I was told they would reschedule, but the earliest available appointment was three weeks away--contradicting the "daily if needed" promise. As of now, the rodent traps still haven't been provided. When I contacted customer service for assistance, they were unhelpful and unable to resolve my concerns or expedite the appointment. Overall, the gap between the salesman's promises and the actual service was significant. I cannot recommend Hawx Pest Control based on this experience. read more

Hawx Pest Control employees are polite and professional. Jean was clear at communicating what time he would arrive by and what services were completed. He answered all of my questions. read more

These people sign you up for a "warranty service " and then do not deliver on promised pest control. On top of charging you the monthly fee they charge the cancellation fee to get rid of them. And they never delivered on pest control. Each time they came I had to call them back to take care of the pests that still exist. read more

Zo was a great technician who worked quickly and efficiently. However i still saw ant activity in my house where the treatment was place as well as earwigs outside where treatment was done. This isn't the first time I have had treatments but still pest activity with hawx. I dont believe it is a technician issue but perhaps with their formula for pesticides used. I'll be reaching out if there continues to have activity. read more

Guy came over unannounced two mornings ago. I was charged $182+ for some unknown activity later that afternoon. I didn't authorize this visit or a charge, and the Text later in the day included the invoice and shows "N/A" where my signature should be. I reached out to the main # for my local contact, and he said he'd transfer me...but disconnected me. I called back, and no one will pick up...been on hold for 19min. So I reached out to the main office in Ogden UT. They said they had to transfer me, and I was again immediately disconnected instead. Definitely not a Stand-up company. This is so unprofessional. read more

Friendly tech, explained the safety for pets and kids and was right on time. Only thing I recommend is a call a head for a heads up on tech arrival. As I forgot it was today, and could not have been available to put my dogs away. read more

I have to trust the the service was done as requested. Next time I would like a text or call, about 15 to 30 minutes before the requested service will be performed. I unfortunately had 2 appointments in the morning/afternoon so I wasn't able to be here. read more

I had an appointment for service a week ago today. I made it clear that I wanted to be here while they treated my property (I wasn't happy with the very first treatment). I even told them areas that were problematic. Last Monday would've been my second treatment. It happened that I was sick that morning, and I tried to reach Hawx to reschedule. I could not get through to them so I indicated they could call me back in queue. An 801 number (which was supposed to be them) called and I said "Hello, this is Nona" and they hung up on me. Never having reached them, Hall came and treated my property (supposedly) while I slept. He sent a detailed text message stating what all he had done, including removing all spiderwebs and treated openings around my house, etc. Well, I found three cobwebs in plain view on my front porch. I also indicated that the area above my porch on the ceiling always had mud dauber nests. There were the FOUR nests still there. I also stated that I needed my interior in the kitchen treated for ants. I have ants everywhere. Of course that didn't happen. I contacted Hall and told him he would have to come back, that he had missed quite a few things. I was very specific and I even sent him pics. I asked if I should reschedule with Hawx or would he do it? He said he would take care of it. I haven't heard from Hawx nor him. Let me say that I tried to cancel service, as well, before this last treatment. They also said I still owed them a payment for July. I had already decided that I was going to cut them loose. They insisted and then still referred me to an account manager. I told them I couldn't afford payments every month when they only treat once a quarter. They offered to reduce my payment by $10 so I agreed. I paid them and now I'm not satisfied with this last treatment. I've found 8-10 fire ant hills today and the ants are still everywhere in my home. I can do better by doing it myself. Do not do business with this company. read more

Didn't show and AWFUL customer service. Charged monthly and never came to service after the first 2 applications. Spent over 4 hours on 3 phone calls escalating to various managers and was promised on all three calls that the local Ogden manager, James, would call or come service the property himself and he never did. They would not refund for all of the months February until July that they never showed up and instead would only give me a credit to my account, but then they wouldn't come and actually service the property to use the credit. One of the times that they promised service. I actually stayed home all day and was promised that someone would be here by 10 AM. I kept checking in every hour after 10 and they kept on telling me "Oh he's close, he'll be there within an hour" and by 5 PM no one had came. I missed an entire day of work. When I called customer service the next day, they said that the person that was supposed to have come to service the property hadn't shown up for work the day before so the entire time that someone was texting me and saying that someone was coming, they actually didn't even know if the guy was ever going to show up for work that day. I could've gone into work. read more

Expect to be scammed out of your money due to fees based on false information. When we were given the sales pitch we were told it would be 40$/month for 6 months. After 9 months we noticed we were still being charged. So we promptly requested to cancel the contract. At which point we were given a response stating your contract has been canceled and we've charged you the 200$ cancelation fee. No warning, and no mention of the charge until after making it. Lies and tricks in order to collect fees. Good luck! read more

Absolutely do not use Hawx. They come door to door and told me i could cancel at any time if i wasn't happy with the services. When i called to cancel, they stopped coming but continued to bill me. I asked them why and they said i had to put it on writing. That it was in the contract which was emailed to me. They are being sued for using high pressure tactics. read more

Stay away from this company it's unless you want to be scammed out of your money I wish I could shout at anyone thinking of working with them another freaking bill from them for a service I didn't receive! Another one there are no managers to complain to by the way once your locked in expect to be screwed and you can't get free the contract allows them to keep billing you late fees even when you cancelled. This company is garbage!!!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Darrell is a new technician that is wonderful and should run the company. The rest of their customer service, account managers, billing department, and sales team are an absolute joke. They sell you on a package and don't deliver what they promise, and do not give free services in between. This company is a scam and I've never had a worse experience in my life dealing with a company before. Stay away from Hawx Pest Control or you will be scammed. read more

Scott did a great job looking things over and addressing our issues, very professional and prompt!

They are miserable to try to get ahold of someone to talk to. Literally every single time they were scheduled to come out I had to call and argue with customer service and threaten to quit to get put through to a manager that would actually be able to schedule on a time I was home or fit my schedule. The people who come out are great. Every single pest control person on site was amazing. Too bad their company can get the front office working the same way. I dont understand how you can give them a 3 week window of time to come out and it has to be I am going to cancel now and wait on hold to get a manager that can then manage the schedule. Multiple times however they changed the schedule to match my schedule but then canceled last minute, only to have to repeat the process. Then they sent texts and emails weekly telling me I had to sign up for another year or they will raise prices. Once they raised the price after a year of constant nagging, I finally cancelled. I just could not take the trying to find the right phone number to get an actual person and dealing with the automated systems. I wish the on site team would form their own company as they are rock stars. read more

I am absolutely unimpressed and disappointed by the Hawx company. I purchased a service about spiders and bug service about 3 years for my mother who has since passed away. The pest control itself was just fine but the customer service business side is the most money hungry b.s. I've ever dealt with. i had to quit my job to help my mom as she deteriorated from dementia and could not afford to pay for the service. I spent at least 3 hours on the phone trying to get some kind of resolution to this "secondary contract " that was somehow digitally signed by me when the facts were not so. They forced me into actually agreeing to a new contract that would release me from a couple hundred dollars in fees and late charges just not to go to collections. The understanding was that I would have a chance to deny the future services indefinitely until I could cancel the service after the contract period ended. Well try staying on top of these folks as they call or text from different numbers every single time. If I do get the message and cancel the appointment they will try to set one up again the next day and in two days or won't hear anything for a week then they show up and say "I called". The automated response is something like "all set! To reschedule just log on to my portal". There's a reason that each and every time they show up to do a service the person is someone that you have never seen before. The company sucks to try and communicate with and I damn sure they suck to work for! read more

Be cautious with Hawx Pest Control. They promise free warranty service between quarterly visits, but I was charged $179 just two weeks after my initial treatment. After an hour on the phone, they refused to refund me and couldn't clearly explain what the warranty actually covers. The experience felt deceptive and unprofessional. read more

Hawx Pest Control - Pest Control Near Me - Ogden, Utah

Sales person told me I'd be able to cancel services after 7 months, when my lease ended, but they only had a 12 month contract so I could just send them a copy of my lease to end services. Come to find out that is not true. Cancelation fee is $200 so I'm stuck paying $240 for services on an apartment I don't live at anymore because the salesperson lied. Do not sign any contract they give you without going through it. Salesperson was very pushy probably to prevent people from reading the fine print. My mistake ultimately but this is scammy all the same. read more

I could not be happier with HAWX. I have been a customer for almost 2 years and I have ALWAYS been so impressed with their professionalism, customer service and product, SINCE THE MOMENT THEY KNOCKED ON MY DOOR. They send me reports of the areas they service *PLUS* they warranty their services. If needed and requested, THEY COMEBACK between services NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I do not understand how people have "bad experiences". HAWX IS THE BEST PEST CONTROL COMPANY. PERIOD. read more

Max the service man who came was a great communicator and I'm sure applied fine. (I was not home). I would rate him a5 star, it's the company and customer service I don't give a good review on. They are not consistent with their service and cancel appointments regularly, going all most two months in between applications. I have to call and make sure it's scheduled and then usually it is canceled. Very frustrating! read more

Barely trained pushy door to door salespeople that bothered me 2 x to get payment figured out, incompetent technicians (hours late outside window of arrival), required 35 minutes to review everything already told salesmen in detail... read o A door to door hard sell till they wear you down-spend over an hr taking notes that arent passed on. So have to repeat self again to tech. My biggest concerns- mosquitos and a mice outside my soon to be renters room. No bate left for mice- just a huge unsightly box for gophers. Tech said to call/ text him directly if had any problems. tried multiple times over a month. finally called main line and complained on up the chain. Basically said i had to call them to cancel (before know how bad their service)- COMPLETELY unwilling to take any accountability and legally will go after you and not even budge with The Better Business Burea. Hawx treated our years for wasp, spiders and mosquitos. We did need to have them come back as they did not get all the wasps the first time.

Terrible scheduling and worse customer service. 4-year member. Couldn't get an appointment under 21 days out. Last two appointments were no shows. Called during the day each time to confirm technician was on the way. No show. Twice. Tried to cancel, put on hold for 20 min. Called back, put on hold again. Tried to cancel via chat. Was told I had to call and speak to an account manager. Complete disregard for customers. read more

As you will see in other reviews... they are violating the new FTC ruling of "Click to Cancel". i.e. Hawx makes it VERY difficult to cancel your account. To cancel they said I had to talk to an account mgr...none were available and none ever called me back. It took over 2 weeks to finally get it canceled and in the mean time they said I owed another month's payment. I had zero help from local and corporate customer service... so I've now created a BBB complaint, Attorney General complaint and I'm contacting a lawyer. read more

Canceled after 4 years of just ok service. They've since claimed that you have to call to cancel (I did and that's not in my agreement) and are ignoring the fact I did. Let them know via text and email that I did cancel and did not want service. They've been trying to charge a card so my credit card company had to step in to prevent it, despite providing them no service. Now get daily texts and emails about an outstanding balance they made up. Check out complaints on Yelp and Better Business Bureau and not fake Google reviews - they're notorious for nefarious sales tactics - stay clear, better pest companies that won't try and scam you read more

Just as others have reported, the Hawx representative told me I could cancel anytime. What he didn't say was how much it would cost to cancel. They quoted one price for service, then when I asked about the price for the second service, it was double! When I called, the phone rep stated that the reasonable cost was only for the initial service. The chemicals used aren't very effective, which is likely why they charge to terminate the contract. Please don't buy into their deceptive practices. It's not money well spent. read more

Today was our first visit and so far I have no complaints. Duncan was professional and friendly. He took time to explain what he was doing and ask if there were any concerns or areas I wanted him to focus on. After I expressed concerned we made a plan together and he made sure that worked for me. He also made sure to explain to me to keep my dog away from the spray area for at least an hour and even asked if I'd like to take her out before he got started. I thought that was very courteous of him and I appreciated it greatly. I hope our relationship continues to be a positive one and that the treatment works as well as they claim! read more

Do not engage with Hawx Pest Control. My experience with them has been an absolute nightmare. After selling my home, and moving in to a lease, I assumed canceling my pest control services would be straightforward. Instead, they used aggressive methods to prevent me from ending the agreement--even though my HOA already provides pest control services. I've spent hours on the phone, only to be met with resistance, condescension, and a complete disregard for my time and circumstances. I NEVER leave negative reviews, but this company has pushed me to the limit. Frankly, a one-star review is far too kind for the level of frustration and stress they have caused me. Save yourself the headache, wasted time, and endless aggravation. Do not use this company. read more
