That same day Becky secured an apartment for me. This was HUGE considering I was moving from another state. This was a chunk of anxiety removed off of my plate. Moving in and out was easy. Accessible for the movers both times. The apartment was beautiful. Very modern and roomy. Nice huge balcony which was great when having my morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Maegan and Becky in the office are top notch and Martin and Jon with property facilities are great. Everyone goes out of the way to assist. That means a lot. The location is great too. I had such a variety of restaurants and supermarkets (and gyms! From yoga, to strength etc... it's available. The apartment also has a great pool and gym). Truth be told: this was is the perfect location for a forever home if you are just looking to rent. I hadn't been a renter in 15 years (except a brief stop in South Carolina) and Mountain View made it very appealing. If you are looking for a place in Asheville to rent, this is your sign!

It's right off of Hendersonville Rd, which is busy, but it's at an incline and behind a huge wall of trees. That cuts down on the traffic noise. The entryway is surrounded by bamboo trees and sets the place apart. Apartments are as well built as you can get. Of course, you'll run into cosmetic defects and can see where some repairs have been done, but this is the norm. What elsecan you expect when people frequently move in and out of units? What really sets this place apart is management. Maegan and Becky were very hospitable and engaging from Day 1. They took the time to remember everyone's names and have friendly conversations while keeping business together. Anytime we had to call for a repair or a question, they didn't hesitate to respond! We recently had water shut off in south Asheville during the holidays. 3,000 plus people had no water for almost a week. But by Day 2, management had ordered a water tank to be on site. Staff came off of holiday break and stayed with the truck, helping residents refill water with whatever containers we had. I don't know of a landlord who would do that, yet Mountain View staff showed up for everyone!

Failure to comply with restrictions is justification for putting a dog to sleep in NC. This has been going on for momths. So if your afraid of dangerous dogs, now you know. Managemnt has been aware of the problem for months and another little dog got bit by this giant last week. I don't understand the lack of concern by the buildings owners.

My same unit faced the same issue approximately 2 years ago, and no other unit had this problem. Every staff member I spoke to gave me the run around, not knowing the facts, clearly poorly trained, and simply no understanding of how to do their basic job requirements. As a company, I'd take another look at how my staff is running my business. I'm a new renter and lived here a short 6 months before all of my belongings were drenched in rusty water and proceeded to sit in a mold inhabited environment for 5 days before any action was taken by the leasing office. I was told to let my belongings "dry out." My mattress was set outside in the snow. I was given a 48 hour notice to get my belongings out of the inhabitable apartment that I paid the full month's rent for hours prior to the sprinkler busting and nonstop water soaks everything I own. Zero compensation, zero money for signing the "liability waiver" when signing my lease. Unrecoverable damages to all my personal belongings, not to mention the emotional turbulence of having to deal with this on my own.

It is right by the movie theater and close to Earth Fare yet the complex is up a long driveway so its removed from the busyness of road. To preface, I was never late on rent. Never had a complaint against me. I made a few complaints…read moreabout neighbors and on my social media about Ansley since there was excessive noise in the halls, doors slammed all the time, an insanely loud Mustang with open exhaust at 7am daily, and dog poop in the dog park every day. When I complained about the dog poop, they said they don't do anything about it and had been out of the DNA test kits! Dog park turf is never cleaned and is DISGUSTING. Make sure you don't give constructive feedback to management, even if they ask for it, because they will retaliate and issue you a non-renewal on your lease. CRAZY since they had issued me a renewal already, but I went back and forth with them since they were increasing my rent. Meanwhile, they had the apt across from mine listed for hundreds less online. Where is the integrity in that?? Once I complained, they issued me a non-renewal and it was 45 days before my lease expired. To cover themselves legally, they offered to extend my lease to give me 60 days to vacate. After I complained and gave feedback, they will used my suggestions and scheduled events like pup-cup day, community game night, and improved landscaping which was horrible at best. They told me they didn't have a budget for events - but seem to be having more events once I brought my complaints to the Fogelman corporate office. But Fogelman loves the property manager here bc she always hurries to clean up the community before their visits. They have no problem increasing your rent every year even if you're paying hundreds more than your neighbor. They will lie and tell you your rent increase is not negotiable, but it is and I know this bc hellooooo neighbors talk!! Also interesting that a leasing consultant left right after me for a MUCH better community and two maintenance employees are leaving soon. Additionally, the gym equipment is out of date, carpet always dirty, kids play around in there, and wifi never works. A former leasing consultant was also a personal trainer and had a separate gym membership, if that tells you anything. "Pet spa" is a washbasin in the car wash area with no towels supplied and it and the car wash are closed half the year anyways. Honestly the ONLY allure of Ansley is their cheap rent, which is justified bc their amenities, management, and property need a complete overhaul. Save your time and go to one of the many many other newer properties in Asheville/Arden!! Also, most of the reviews are incentivized. After people move in, Ansley asks for reviews and gives people points and gift cards for responding. I'm sure mgmt will respond to this with a generic response defending themselves, but why would they kick me out and then utilize my feedback to better the community if what I was saying isn't true? Oh and if they offer to sit down and talk to you to discuss an issue...DON'T BOTHER. I did exactly that and the property manager was fake, smug and lied in the meeting straight to my face.
