The staff is nice enough when you speak to them, but that's about the only kind thing I can think…read moreof to say. I've lived here a VERY long time, I'm probably the longest running resident here, and it's just gone down hill since I moved in. There's dog poop EVERYWHERE across the property. Maybe once a year, they'll send out a sternly worded reminder email that starts with "it's come to our attention...", as if they somehow didn't know there's poop everywhere, all the time, for YEARS. And all they do is remind everybody to pick up after their dogs, as if they think the only problem is that people didn't know they should. They also refuse to pickup after any of the residents themselves, so once somebody chooses not to pick up after their own dog, the poop just stays out there until it breaks down in a few months OR another resident picks it up. They have "poop stations" around the property with poop bags and trash bins, but half the time the bags run out and the bins are overflowing, and they'll remain out of bags and overflowing with poop for 2 or 3 weeks before anybody on staff does anything about it. It's not just poop. There's trash everywhere too. That's worse during warmer months, every 2 or 3 days my dogs will try to eat something off the ground, or they'll pull bones from chicken wings out of random bushes (yes, it's happened repeatedly and often, and it happens at different spots on the property, people throwing the remains of their chicken wings into bushes). Even whole bags of trash! There was recently not one but two bags of trash just left sitting outside, one was close to the entrance to one of the buildings and half hidden behind a pair of bushes while the other was sitting out in the open a few feet from the curb in plain site, and they both sat there for WEEKS before anybody got them. They have a big dog park, and it would honestly be fantastic, except there's so much poop everywhere in there that I can't take my dogs anymore. It's a legit biohazard. For close to two years straight, I took my dogs there twice a day, every day. And literally every time I would go in, I'd spend my first 15 minutes picking up everybody else's poop. I'd be picking up 10 or 15 bags every time, and that's twice a day! And I'd still miss some and step in a pile every now and then. There'd always be several piles that had paw prints in them from other people's dogs. I hate to think of how many people's dogs tracked bacteria from dog poop onto their owners or back into their apartments onto their furniture. The amenities are kind of a joke. For most the time I've lived here, the pool would get overrun every evening by non-residents. I would be in the dog park, and several times a week I would literally see a van or two pull up about half an hour after the office closed and bunch of unruly kids would come piling out. The gym is bare-bones to begin with, and for most my time here, half the cardio equipment wasn't even working. The picnic area is pathetic. It's literally a rock pit with a couple picnic tables and a pair of cheap campground-style grills (you know the kind that's basically just a 3-sided box on a post?). They had a decent on-site movie theater, but they kept changing policies without telling people. For example, when they reserve it you get the key and you're expected it bring it back the next day the office is open, and if you reserved the theater on a Saturday then you'd get it for the whole weekend because there was just one key and the office is closed on Sundays. But they changed that without notice, I reserved it on a Saturday, and I ended up interrupting some kid's birthday party when I came on Sunday expecting it to still be mine. It turns out they gave out two keys, one for each day. And then they went and kind of ruined the theater anyway by removing the big 110 inch screen they had and just painting the wall white and projecting directly onto the wall, which looks like garbage by comparison. Worst of all is that they raise their rent to match places WAY nicer. My rent has nearly doubled since I moved here. I'm looking at other places in the same price range, and here's the kinds of things I'm seeing at most of these other properties: clean grounds with virtually no dog poop or trash, playgrounds, big fancy stainless steel grills, bigger gyms (with equipment that actually works), floor plans the same size or bigger, hardwood floors, granite countertops, nicer kitchen appliances (with a bigger fridge), etc. And that's just the stuff that most places have now, a lot of these apartments have other stuff too, like some have a car wash station or a pet washing station, a couple places have tanning beds, etc. It's not even located in a nice part of town. Lots of low-income neighborhoods surrounding it, they have the most ghetto Food Lion across the street, lots of problems in the past with car break-ins and even a drug-related shooting on the premises a couple years ago.

He finally confirm and they showed up late stating that the truck broke down and was stuck m, that was the first red flag. They showed up with three men, but it ended up only being two men for a two bedroom second floor apartment job, the two guys were courteous enough but amateurs obviously, and had not been on the job long. They left a hose to my washing machine at the old apartment. A couple of things were cracked and broken. They became dehydrated and didn't have any water for themselves and I had not purchased groceries. I went to the store and got them some Gatorade and they started performing a little bit better. This company charges professional prices for amateur service. I would never ever use them again.

We called and scheduled our move with the company owner and he even gave us a call on the morning of our move to see if we were okay with moving with rain forecast all day or if we wanted to reschedule. We had the flexibility to wait a day, but we decided to keep our original move date and hope for a break in the rain. The owner's son Todd and his crew arrived on time and ready to work. They did a walkthrough with us to review what they were moving and were very careful in placing runners to protect our floors. This was a furniture and appliances only move since we were still trying to declutter and decide which household items needed to follow us and what could be donated. Despite a light rain, the crew had the truck packed in no time and headed down the road less than 10 miles to our apartment. They were just as quick and professional unpacking the truck and moving them into our much smaller surroundings. There was no damage to any of our belongings. Total move time from start to finish was an AMAZING 90 minutes. A-1 Moving has a 2-hour minimum and the hourly charge was $130 for 3 men. For $260, I saved my back and got it done a lot quicker than if I rented a truck and tried to do it myself. Hiring A-1 Moving was a no-brainer.

They are nicely landscaped and well kept. The neighbors are generally quiet. Not the quietest. But they're apartments so you're going to hear noise every once in a while. The location is almost rural like and I love that aspect of it. Yet, it's very convenient to University Parkway. The site managers are a bit strict at times and can come off a little rude. But, not to the point you can't just shake it off and go about your day. Their strictness actually contribute to how safe and quiet the place is considering the price. I have a two bedroom and pay a little under 500 for it and they allow pets. Most apartments that have very affordable rent are ghetto and unsafe since it attract a lot of people that don't respect authority. But, not this place. The appliances are a bit old but it's something we overlook since the place is over all nice. I recommend these apartments to those who don't necessarily want luxury. But a safe, clean, quiet, affordable, well kept place to stay. I would not recommend this place to those who are noisy, like to be loud and party because this place is very quiet and I, and everyone else who stay here would like to keep it that way.

During 7 years in the United States Air Force, I relocated to four different assignments. Later, while working for the Federal Aviation Administration, I completed six additional cross-country reassignments. Most of these moves involved professional movers such as United Van Lines, American Van Lines, Allied, and Two Men and a Truck. We also handled a few moves ourselves when we were younger. Most recently, we moved from Clemmons to King, NC after purchasing a new home. Wanting to support a local business, we chose Amplify Movers and Logistics LLC. Instead of conducting an in-home estimate, the owner requested that I send photos of the items to be moved. The quote came in nearly $1,000 less than another company we considered. In hindsight, that should have been a warning sign. Prior to moving day, communication was excellent and we felt confident in our decision. Unfortunately, the actual move was a very different experience. Before the move, we had already sold two large bulky items, yet the quoted price remained unchanged, which we accepted without issue. On moving day, four movers and a 28' U-Haul truck arrived around 8:00 AM. Marlene arrived about an hour later to briefly oversee the operation before leaving. By noon, both we and the lead mover realized the truck was far too small. The truck was already packed to the wheel wells and they had not even started loading the bedroom furniture. Several calls were made to Marlene. The crew attempted to unload and repack the truck multiple times without success. Eventually, Marlene asked what items we could transport ourselves, which would have required several trips using our SUV. Frustrated and wanting to keep things moving, I personally rented a second U-Haul truck. I informed Marlene of our plan, but despite her business also renting U-Haul trucks, she offered no assistance or compensation for the additional expense caused by the poor estimate. As a result, I incurred an extra $130 for the truck rental plus approximately $50 in fuel costs entirely due to improper planning. When I returned with the second truck, the crew was still loading the first one. Eventually both trucks were completely filled and we headed to King. During unloading, we were informed that our office desk had been broken. This desk had previously survived multiple professional moves, including cross-country transport and upstairs delivery, without being dismantled. My wife specifically advised the movers that it could be carried in one piece, but they chose to disassemble it anyway and broke several components in the process. Marlene's solution was to reduce the bill by $50. Considering the replacement cost of the desk was approximately $275 plus assembly time, this felt insulting rather than helpful. Once unloading was complete around 6:00 PM, we began noticing additional damage: scraped furniture, a broken bed support, a cracked bookshelf, and stained mattresses. Some furniture was wrapped only in plastic wrap instead of moving blankets, and the mattresses were dragged across the ground without protective mattress covers. To be clear, the movers themselves were courteous, respectful, and worked very hard throughout the day. We tipped them well because the issues were clearly the result of poor planning and management rather than lack of effort from the crew. What surprised me most was receiving a follow-up call from Marlene asking for a 5-star Google review. I explained that would not be possible given the damages, added expenses, and overall experience. If your primary concern is finding the cheapest possible mover, Amplify Movers may meet your needs. However, if you value professionalism, accurate estimating, proper equipment planning, and careful handling of your belongings, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
