The views are spectacular. We were lucky to stay during fall foliage on a string of sunny days. Our group was 4 adults; we fit very comfortably between the bedroom and the loft, and could have added one or two more people without being too crowded. There are so many thoughtful details - we especially loved the outdoor shower and the locking bike shed. The full kitchen came stocked with coffee for the Keurig. The owner was friendly and responsive and very easy to work with. We will definitely stay here again (or next door at the Wompatuck cabin if we have a larger group).

In fact, we were one of the 1st Civil Unions in VT to do so after it became a law. The Moose Meadow Lodge will always hold one of the most special places in our hearts. Greg & Willie (one of our witnesses :) ) were absolutely amazing, so gracious, and helped to make our day 100% perfect. They love what they do and that is so evident in their hospitality. Their property and lodge is everything you'd hope it would be for a VT mountain escape. We now have a 17 year old daughter and getting back to show her the beauty of not only VT but the lodge itself is high on my list of places to take her. We've been waiting until the perfect age to bring her out and it looks like 2021 (thx for nothing Covid) will be the year. Every experience we had was great, except for the last time when a couple of issues came up regarding the condition of our condo. It turns out that a long-term renter had been in that unit and a new housekeeping person followed-up. It happens. What usually DOESN'T happen is the manager answers your email with, "You're totally right!" I had braced myself for an unpleasant exchange, instead I was told that they were greatful that we wanted to come back and our next unit would be in "A-1" condition. I was stunned! This group is the best! Absolutely wonderful.

We had our own small cabin which was right next to the office and everything was centrally located to the cabins in Waterbury. The only two downfalls where that the place definitely needs some updating. A nice coat of paint and steam the carpeting would go a long way. Clearly the outdated furniture and decor isn't the problem in fact that's what makes it charming. However the road leading to The Cabins is horrendous. You have to travel in less than 5 miles an hour and it takes them and just get down the road because of how bumpy and shaky it is. I wish they would pave that road or at least fill in those in the same bumps somehow. I'm just not sure who owns it, the cabins or the Green Mountain company that shares the road.

There were four of us and all four of us walked in and walked out, two of us had issues just for being in that little bit. This is nothing like what the Internet looked like!
