The location of the Hawaiian Eye is great, right opposite the pier in central Cleethorpes over looking the magnificent Humber Estuary. At half nine on a Saturday morning sat outside it can be simply beautiful.
I've got some great memories of this place, I had brecky with all the lads on the morning of my wedding here, took the kids and Mrs loads of times as i love the view & liveliness.
THE FOOD, I went for breakfast there last Saturday morning with my wife. The service was quick and we ordered one ordinary breakfast and one 'belly buster' breakfast. It all came to about £9.50 which wasn't bad as included coffee and toast.
Got to say I'm afraid that the bacon and sausages were obviously cheap catering varieties Not the best really in a place were good quality Lincolnshire sausages can so easily be bought and cheap bacon is a disgrace. Also, the sauces all came in those horrible little sachets and were cheap varieties rather than Heinz and HP.
Saying this the the meal wasn't bad by any means, it was just normal roadside truck stop fair when with a little bit more effort could have been superb quality.
All in all better breakfasts can be bought close by at Browns on the Esplanade and Parkinsons in Kingsway but they don't have the lovely pavement tables next to the pier and beach, so if Il'ld probably still stick to my old favourite
