Love this society! My daughter has been taking lessons with them for almost 2 years now and she…read moreloves it. We love it for her and we love the people, her king fu mates, and instructors! They are just so nice! Super friendly environment. You can take kung fu classes and they learn lion dance at the end of class. There are performances and also competitions you may participate in. My daughter had to take a break for a bit due to her school activities but is planning to be back in no time once she's done with this main project she's currently working on. She misses them so much! Love the opportunities they give to the children and adults can take lessons too! I highly recommend!

We hired Au's Shaolin Arts Society to perform at both our wedding and our daughter's 1st birthday…read moreparty. Both performances were exceptional. They arrived on time with 3 lions (2 large and 1 small). They asked us to provide a head cabbage with money inside the lai see (good luck) red envelope and hold it up at the front stage. The performers did a great job working the crowd and they included adult as well as youth lion dancers. During the performance the lion would dance around the guests collecting good luck money from them and eventually made its way to the front of the stage where it devoured the head cabbage and lai see envelope. In gratification, good fortune and blessings it spit out the cabbage. It was a great way to celebrate both occasions by spreading good luck while chasing away the evil spirit. Additionally, our guests loved the entertainment and hype it brought

I can't say enough wonderful things about Saam Fu. I got married in February, right around Chinese…read morenew year and I knew I wanted to hire a Chinese lion dance crew for my Chinese Tea ceremony. I contacted a bunch of other companies that are probably more well known, but they all were either rude, booked or just never responded to my requests. I used company websites, IG and yelp to contact these other companies, but I think some just thought my event was too small to bother even responding. Kinda rude. Anyways, Brandon, from Saam Fu was quick to respond to my email. He gave me all the info I needed and was very nice. I told him what the event was and where and what time. He asked for how many lions I would want and told me the prices. It was straightforward and professional, while still being nice. In the days leading up to the wedding, my Chinese mother told me I needed to make a fishing rod to hold the hongbao for the lion. I acquired some bamboo sticks and totally planned on making one, but I got busy with other things and kind of forgot. On the day of the event, I was running around doing a bunch of other things, but the Saam Fu crew arrived on time, waited patiently outside in the sun and then did the performance for my guests. They brought their own bamboo fishing pole for us to hold. It was way nicer than anything I would have made. It even lit up!!! I easily just clipped my hongbao to the line and it worked great. I love that they were so prepared with things I thought I had to make myself. The dance was perfect and surprisingly pretty long, but not boring. The "head" of the lion congratulated my husband and I as they danced by us which was super cute. They navigated the smallish, crowded space like pros. It was a wonderful event and the lion dance was just the most perfect component of our tea ceremony. I'm so glad I was ghosted and told no by the other companies, because I wouldn't have found Saam Fu otherwise. I will be recommending them to all my friends and family and using them for anything I need a Chinese lion dance for in the future.
