They need to stop intentionally timing debits and deposits to overdraw accounts and then charge $30…read morefor each debit, thereby draining the account of incoming deposits (over $1,000 in a month) despite repeatedly requesting and being assured that OD (which I didn't even have) or debits beyond the account balance would NOT be paid. But when it kept happening, the story then changed to they HAD TO pay them because they could be utilities with life or death medical equipment depending on them. Yes, I totally thought it sounded made up too, and it came from the same manager who supposedly turned off the OD payment capabilities the last time the "black hole" of fees sucked the life out of my account balance the last time. In over 30 years, I never had this problem before. But ever since I refinanced my mortgage (with Loan Depot) , it seems like this mysteriously began happening. It only ended when they suddenly and without warning, closed my 30+ year old account, claiming my international money transfer was deemed "suspicious" by the back office. WTH? When I opened my new account with BOH, they said it wouldn't be a problem since it's up to me what I do with my money. I can only conclude that refinancing with another lender made them either want to make up the difference with fees, or not want me as a customer any longer. And getting "dumped" without warning, with almost $30k in my account, 3 direct deposit income sources, and almost 20 automatic payees established, was HUGELY inconvenient, resulted in late payments and no place to receive my deposits until my new account/direct deposit could be established. I wouldn't have believed it myself if it hadn't happened to me. But spare yourself the disappointment, expense, and frustration and AVOID ASB for you've been forewarned! If not, you do so at your own risk and, well, kind of deserve whatever they will come up with for you. At this point, I can only laugh about it. But believe me that it was so NOT FUNNY! Aloha and good luck!

My coworkers warned me this place was a mess...I walk in, ask their policy for cashing a payroll…read morecheck if you don't have an account. She has plenty of time to answer my question truthfully BEFORE I endorsed my checks, but FAILS to do her job and answer the question I asked. Now I have no choice to give her my address and fingerprint bc I already endorsed the checks. I was upset. I said, "Really? You're telling me after I endorsed the checks? You don't need my address." She raises her voice and demands it. Her coworker tells her how to do her job and then she tells me to put any address. So guess what? I was right. You don't need it! Then she has the audacity to demand my fingerprint. What????? Does anyone know what CONSENT is?!??! I have every right to be upset and express that I don't appreciate being treated like a criminal just to cash a payroll check. A normal person would apologize since my point is SANE and VALID. I asked the policy before deciding what to do. Instead she escalates things by yelling at me and telling me to go file a grievance if I have a problem. Or you could just have some respect for me. That would be a lot easier. Change your policy so that you obtain proper legal consent instead of tricking people into doing things they don't want to do bc you are holding their paycheck hostage
