The nurses were kind and highly skilled. Even the pre op class was interesting. I had previously had a horrible experience in another hospital and was very frightened, but the people at Augusta soothed my fears. I am now 5 weeks post op and doing very well, thanks to the outstanding surgeon I had and all the terrific people at Augusta and Augusta Physical Therapy. I highly recommend them.

He had a bleeding ulcer and a blood clot in lung. He had back surgery and very little PT, his meds were not given. He died 1 month from the day he was sent home (10/7-11/7). My primary Care physician was able to get Sentra hospice to take care of him. First picutre is actually our 63rd anniversary 9/29 and the second is 11/1, 6 days before he died. No lawyer will take case.

This clinic is out in a rural area, much of their clientele are poor and sickly, salaries must be pretty low, and they have had some problems with turnover. And I would have to see a LPN or PA rather than an MD. But they have been excellent. My previous dr was a big city internist from a famous medical school who had been highly recommended, but the PA I see at Blue Ridge has been a BETTER provider. He gets to know you, his information flow is excellent on medicines, treatments, medical conditions, his knowledge is extensive and up to date, and he strikes a perfect balance between recommending options and providing information to let me make decisions. I can post questions and requests to the patient portal and they usually call me the next day with a response. Another nice touch is the lack of authoritarian status games -- the providers go by their first names. Plus the facility is very nice, the staff have been professional, and they don't make you wait a lot. My doubts were misplaced. I can recommend this facility whole heartedly.

South River Rehab and Performance has no equal…read more It's late on a Tuesday evening, and our son has injured his leg at practice and walking is quite painful. In similar situations in the past we had gone to the ER or Urgent Care, only to get a long wait, followed by an evaluation from a "generalist" MD, costly x-rays, and a referral to an Orthopedic MD. This time, we just called South River, and drove from the field immediately for an evaluation by a licensed Physical Therapist (who also has a PhD.) That was a much better decision for us, and fantastic experience working through the recovery plan! We continued going to South River, but now as a family -- kids for performance and injury prevention, while we parents were getting fantastic, customized core workouts. As a coach and player, I've been using Physical Therapy and Performance training for years, most often in large urban areas (like Chicago, Raleigh-Durham, etc). South River owner's knowledge of cutting edge workout methodologies is equal to the best trainers I've worked with. It's the way SR customizes workout and rehab methodologies to the individual athlete that is superior (in my view) to other places we have gone.

Him and his staff are always very welcoming and eager to get you in and not waste your time with meaningless small talk (that being said they won't turn away that conversation either). Recently there have been a lot of changes in the office in general there aren't anymore fake flowers or old Christmas decorations, it's very nice and clean looking. It really is a safe space and that office has really changed my life for the better.
