This was a smaller order for them but they were happy to help. I sent a couple of emails with pictures to give them an idea of what I was looking for and they nailed it. The wedding was held two hours away from them but luckily they coordinated with my photographer (who lived in their area) for her to deliver the flowers. I was originally going to put together my own bouquets but so glad I spent the money. They were very reasonable and the quality was amazing. My bridal bouquet was so beautiful, I didn't want to put it down! I would highly recommend The Proper Petal for your future floral needs!

I heard from guest after guest after guest that our flowers were the most beautiful flowers they had ever seen at a wedding. My mother was so pleased with Kristen & Sarah's work she wanted to take every flower back home to Massachusetts with her after the wedding. Kristen and Sarah covered the spectrum. My bouquet was remarkable, they put together gorgeous arrangements for our rehearsal dinner & wedding, and they even decorated barn doors we made that were supposed to be on the lawn for our reception. Unfortunately by mid afternoon the forecast was looking terrible, and they rearranged the flowers and greenery inside the tent and created another masterpiece. I have never seen anything more spectacular! They were so easy to work with and super responsive. I highly recommend them for all your floral needs!

It's the nicest shop on the corner of West Cary; parking can be a little tricky, but there are plenty of options nearby. I fell in love with the shop before I even stepped inside. The outside is inviting and beautifully decorated, and the inside is even more so. The decor is well thought out, from the open windows to the bold floral wallpaper and colors that complement the space perfectly. Paula has extensive knowledge when it comes to flowers, and it shows in how she guides you through creating your own arrangement. The workshop is great for any skill level and includes everything you need, from the vase to the flowers and every extra touch to make sure your bouquet is complete. She also provided catered food and beverages, so every detail was covered. Beyond the workshops, she also offers general floral services for anyone in need of arrangements. The atmosphere was fun, peaceful, and just overall relaxing. I can't wait for the next workshop and encourage anyone looking for something fun to do to give it a try.

After the multiple times I've been in, I can't help but feel that the workers are uppity and rude (for a lack of better words). I was hopeful this was an isolated incident and recognize we're human after all, but after my last stop in, waiting in line to check out while the cashier spoke poorly of other employees to her coworker, waves me up minutes later without a hello, how are you, and didn't even respond when I asked how SHE was... I decided this spot is just not worth it solely due to this type of energy being a repetitive, widespread occurrence each time I'm in.

I stopped in this small nursery to take my chances, as I didn't want to go to a "big box" store during Covid. Although the inventory was scanty, they had everything on my wish list!! I found pansies (my brother says that they're a misnomer - they should be called sturdies or toughies since they last through the winter, anyway...) in many colors, purple, white, blue, yellow & orange and some Dusty Miller for my front stoop. I also found a Crispy wave Japanese fern & a Christmas cactus for the house, and the helpful woman at the shop even found my rosemary (only a few left) ! How serendipitous! I saw shelves of succulents that tempted me, and some gorgeous poinsettias, which I will go back for shortly! So if you'd like to support a small, local business, plant yourself here!
