I have been going to the girls of Haven Hair Studio since when they were still employed at their former salon. I needed a new hair dresser and a co-worker of mine recommended Deanna. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law have used several other girls and I can tell you first-hand they are all masters at what they do. Before they opened Haven... their former employers Dena (looks like she left a pleasant review below) and Gina were always very pushy to sell, sell, sell, without too much concern for the client and what they truly needed. On more than one occasion my mother-in-law and I felt very uncomfortable when Dena would relentlessly brag and boast about how much money she spends and her vacation homes she owns, and god forbid you mentioned something nice you had, she would try to one-up you so-to-speak. It got to the point where all three of us would purposely book appointments when Dena and Gina were not there. The Girls of Haven Hair Studio left an unprofessional, negative environment and opened what can only be described as a "HAVEN". Haven hair studio is one of the best hair salons i have ever been to. They are very considerate and attentitive to their customers. I have been seeing Deanna for cut, color and blow dry as well as my mom has been seeing Cheryl and we love them both. We have never had a problem in the 3+ years we have been their clients. Deanna is always ready to help with my drastic hair color changes. I have gone from blonde to red to blonde and now i am with dark blue/purple with purple balayage. They are in a small shop right now due to them having to start somewhere on their own due to them branching out and displaying there talents; but now they are moving into a bigger location due to the amount of love they are receiving from former and new clients! Wish them all the love and luck. Also, if you are a bitter older owner of salon V do not even think about coming after them because they wanted to follow their dreams together and you guys are just bitter because they are moving into your old location. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would! I moved away 4 years ago and still take the drive to Westchester for Jenna to do my hair! I have thick frizzy temperamental hair, and up until Jenna nobody knew how to deal with it. She is always recommending just the right techniques and products to help me manage it! I am always getting compliments on my color especially. I like to change it up and they are truly master colorists! But the best part of this group of women is that they work as a team. They value each other and their individual talents, and as a group, they lean on each other and work together to provide nothing less than a great experience. They worked hard for years, ran a business for years that wasn't theirs as if it was their own for a [mostly] absentee owner, built their own clientele, and made a [very difficult] BUSINESS decision - to grow themselves personally and professionally, to own their own business, to give them the ability to enhance their own personal lives and give a better life to their own families. I have been going to Cheryl since I was 15 and have known the girls for almost as many years they are always so considerate, and take their time to get to know each and every one of their clients. I lived in Mahopac for many years but for the past 5 have come up from Manhattan to see her. Cheryl knows exactly what I'm looking for each time I go in, she listens to my wishes and makes sure whatever I'm asking for, I know exactly what I'm about to do to my hair and can tell me honestly if I'm actually going to like it. I don't trust anyone else to cut or color my hair. I'm giving Haven Hair Studio 5 stars because my hair looks amazing, and I'm always happy with my experience here. Every time I get my color/cut done, people approach me to ask where I get my hair done. Seriously, I get stopped in parking lots and grocery aisles just because of my hair(So if you want strangers approaching you, trying to touch your hair, come to Haven Hair! Lol) But seriously, they are amazing. I'm extremely picky and I've never been disappointed. Cheryl does my color and cut and is absolutely amazing, but you really can't go wrong with anyone there, they are all incredibly talented stylists/colorists. Haven Hair is full of TALENTED and professional stylists. There is a young and vibrant energy in their salon. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable and always provides courteous and genuine service. These ladies branched out on their own to follow their dreams and yes, the shop may be a little on the small side, but as luck (or karma) would have it, there is a large, beautiful space available not too far from where they are now. There is no question that I get exactly what I request and then more than I expect when I go to Deanna for a cut and color/style. I have had bad experiences in the past at local salons that made me shy away from getting my hair done professionally. Haven has changed all that for me. I visited Haven Hair Studio on a whim three months ago after driving by on my way to work. This past week I had my second appointment, I'm hooked! I've found my salon! The staff was very pleasant.
