I'm Cuban American born and raised in Hialeah/Miami. Great spot I just found now living away from that area, I found a little piece of home. I was surprised that even sitting in their bakery I could not find them on Yelp! So I added their business. Hopefully it will bring them even more blessings.

They cook the congris with the wrong rice. Their customer service is mediocre. Expensive too.

Delicious and fresh authentic Cuban cuisine. Get there early for their hot lunch selections.

Best Cuban bakery in Havana. My first time trying flan cake. Great stuff! I would recommend and go there every time I'm in town.

We tried a few things for brunch and loved all of them! The catfish was excellent as well as the old country favorite- chicken fried steak! We also really loved the biscuits and corn bread. The sides were out standing as well! We had macaroni and cheese, fried okra, sweet potato soufflé and collard greens. Each one was perfect! We really loved this place and would be delighted to return anytime!

The mashed potatoes and gravy were also just what I was looking for. The other side I chose was corn fritters - just ok but perfectly fine, although more batter to corn ratio would have made them more desirable. Hubby had the chicken fried chicken and he loved it and his sides of potatoes and mac n cheese. Our family had fried chicken and they thought it was crispy outside, fried well and juicy inside. They also ordered a grilled ham and cheese with a side salad. Didn't get a ton of feedback on the meal but the plate was pretty well cleaned off when we got up! Our waitress was fast, efficient and really sweet. She quickly brought to go containers for our food and drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant gave it a very homey and rural feel, which was just fine with us. It sits nexts to the state farmers market which was not running during our visit. However it was still busy when we sat down to eat at 2 pm. Recommend it!

(Surprise!) When we go out with neighbors I put all that aside, and blend in. Wherever they want to go, whatever they want to do, is fine with me. So when they suggested Rum Bucket, I thought 'eh' --- but instead I said, 'great!' I'm good that way. Look at that: five stars! T talked about eating the most delicious haddock on a military trip. He was excited with Rum Bucket's version and said, "I like this just as much!" After questioning our server Janna -- who by the way is delightful -- I ordered a burger. It was great. I went with the "cowboy burger' which had bacon, cheddar cheese, a couple of onion rings with lettuce and tomato on the side. I think what makes it 'cowboy' is the drizzle of bbq sauce, which I asked Janna to leave off. The beef is seasoned (an important feature!), cooked on the grill (equally important) and prepared almost rare (close to what I requested.) We sat at a comfortable high top on the patio, but there are indoor tables as well. Rum Bucket has a stage -- here comes Jimmy Buffet! -- but mid-day it was quiet and unhurried, without us having to yell over music. If one of those waterfront restaurants is busy and you want the same ambience (sans water) check out Rum Bucket. I like it enough to return.
