I was on the hunt for an authentic cuckoo clock, with beautiful details. I looked in multiple stores and ended up coming back here. They take almost every credit card possible, including American Express. They ship worldwide. They also deduct the tax from the price. This place has so many clocks and other gifts! You will find everything you need here!
What a cool store!! This store is located on the main street in Triberg. It has an amazing facade that draws you to the store. I have never seen a store that looked so awesome. I loved the little bear that climes up the store. So adorable. This place has more clocks in one location than I have ever seen. There are all types and sizes of clocks. Some that cuckoo and some that do not. They have some traditional clocks as well as very modern. There are clocks for every age group including little kids. The store also offers a lot of other items such as kitchen items, alcohol, food items, and your normal souvenirs like shot glasses, magnets and bags. My sister and I both purchased two clocks. 3 of them are still working fine 2 months later however mine stopped cuckoo(ing) after about 2 weeks. Service was very good. When we asked about shipping they were honest with us and said it would probably be better to take them with us so they did not get damaged and also because the cost to ship is so high.

I ordered a Rombach & Haas Traditional & minimalist Cuckoo Clock online from this store. I'm writing this review because I was unable to find ANY reviews for online orders that are shipped to the US. The price for the clock was great & shipping was high (but expected). I also paid an import duty to the US (also expected). After calculating the overall cost with shipping, the price of the clock was still very competitive & even a little LESS than purchasing within the US. The shipping was extraordinarily fast & the clock was so well packaged. I'm keeping the original sturdy box & shipping materials in case the clock needs to be shipped in the future. I was so worried about this purchase because, for me, the clock is a luxury item. I found that the best way to communicate with this business is with a FB message. I was put at ease. I'd have absolutely NO reservations ordering another clock from Haus Der 1000 Uhren in the future! It truly was a stellar experience for me. read more
It's been six years since my first visit and I have to say, it is still a great shop! Found a bigger clock to replace my smaller one from my first visit and my nephew who is now old enough to travel even picked out his own. Our friends found a gigantic clock to have shipped home to California. The store is still special and I love it. My only issue I had this time was that the sales associates felt like they worked on commission and were quite possessive once they started helping someone that they had to be the one to check you out, even if they had started helping someone else. We even witnessed two clerks get into an argument over it which was awkward and uncomfortable. But the selection is great and they have clocks for any budget. read more
For some reason I wanted an authentic cuckoo clock my whole life. It had to be from the source too, in The Black Forest. This store, inside and out, is a spectacle and must-visit spot even if you have 0 intention of buying anything. Perhaps your mind will change from all the quirkiness and happiness these clocks bring. I recommend a chalet style, 8-day movement (traditional, not battery operated), with music. These will usually have the option to automatically be silenced during nighttime (9PM - 8AM). I really like this store. As you might imagine, then have lots of cookoo clocks. They come in all sizes and styles, as well as some other kinds of clocks too. The cookoo clocks run from under $100 to over $6000. They also have some other kinds of things largely of interest to tourists. They have a great selection of Swiss Army knives. I like this place because you can come in and see all the cookoo clocks and pick up a few souvenirs. The store also has free wifi. read more
