With the ongoing construction at the neighboring Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, passengers connecting with the Deutsche Bahn are originating or terminating their u-bahn journeys here. It's a brief walk and the Verkehrs-und Tarifverbund Stuttgart (VVS) have done their best to make the connection as frictionless as possible. That's not to say that it's completely seamless but the signage, the covered walkways and the very smooth floors make it okay. There are electric carts as well for those who need assistance.
Once in the u-bahn station, there are ticket vending machines and more signs that point the way. I still managed to get on a u-bahn train going the wrong way!
Formerly the Hindenburgplatz with the name changed in 1945, it is Arnulf-Klett-Platz for the former mayor of Stuttgart who served from 1945 to 1974. He was considered a critic of the Nazi regume and spent two months at Heuberg in 1933. Street creds earned!
