Here are some things you'll need to know: The Pier Pressure II is Stamford's only pedal powered party boat operated on Stamford Harbor and goes out into the Long Island Sound. It's a 90 minute excursion that is perfect for corporate outings and team building, as well as office, bachelorette, family, friends and birthday celebrations. It fits 26 guests at 12 pedaling stations & benches, a bar table, coolers, has a bluetooth stereo and also a bathroom. Private Cruises begin at $749 and Public Cruises are sold by the ticket, starting at $55, and seat up to 22 passengers. Guests do tip the Captain & First Mate since they rely on it to pay their bills. Suggested tip for Private Cruises: $200-300 and $10-15 per person for Group Cruises. BYOB! I made the reservation online per instructions and on September 18th, 2017 I received an emailed confirmation for my booking from 5 - 6:30PM on 30NOV17. Instructions said to meet in front of the main entrance to the Maritime Aquarium (not on the IMAX side) at 5PM. Me and my guest were in front of the main entrance to the aquarium at 4:55PM. By 5:05PM we were still the only ones outside so I called the tour operator at 203-919-6163 and received a voicemail of Christine with CT Haunted History Tours. The message stated their email and web address then at the end it said "this mailbox is full and is not able to accept any messages" before disconnecting on me. I sent an email to their email address asking for a status update and, 2+ hours later I've still never received a response. I'm shocked this sham organization doesn't have someone answering their phone during working hours, certainly on a day a tour is scheduled. Further, a voicemail box that isn't accepting voicemails? Shameful. Leaving a guest stranded and over 2 hours later still no reply to an email? Unacceptable. Don't. Ever. Use. These. Crooks.

Bill's love of New York City and his unique "feel for place" made this tour a memorable experience for all of us. I highly recommend The Street Teacher for corporate functions and family outings alike. Bill's articulate, very well-educated style and wry sense of humor really humanized the tour and made everyone comfortable. He was very accessible to our questions and stimulated conversation among us. He ensured that he knew the "audience" in advance by prepping with me and even followed-up post-tour to ensure that we were satisfied, which we were. It actually exceeded our expectations. We both never been to Central Park and wanted to see the most we could. My friend is a huge Sex and the City fan and got a guided tour of where the filming was. Our tour guide is so knowledgeable and outgoing. I loved learning from him. Once we were done, he was going to take us back to where he found us - in front of the restaurant. We talked to him in dropping us off at Fifth Avenue. He agreed only if we paid him a little extra. We didn't mind since that was our next destination. Overall, great experience. Kader was our driver/ rider, they have these hybrid bikes so your driver isn't gasping for air while giving you the tour. Blanket for the cold weather and the meeting stop was at Starbucks on 55th and 7th, Wife was happy. The Park was beautiful everything and more you'd imagine it would be from seeing the park on TV Shows, Movies, and pictures. Kader made the ride comfortable with his knowledge and personality, and being from Chicago, if I cane back I would request Kader again.
