Over the years I have prolly spent in excess of $15,000 out of pocket on hearing aids. There was the last occasion four and a half years ago when my daughter initiated a "Go Fund Me" campaign that netted $6,500 toward these two very powerful Phonak Nadia models. Thank you! For the last six to eight months I found that if I pulled on my earlobe (to open the canal) and cupped my hand behind my left "good ear" that I could pick up about forty-eight point four percent of the voice I focused on. My lip reading is most superior; bringing my cognitive ability to about seventy-five percent understanding. Not bad eh? Life is rich and God is Good, All the Time - I'm not one to complain to Him for why I'm made this way. Brings me to today...My appointment at Johns Hopkins was set a month ago. I was guarded on my expectation for this appointment, but eager nonetheless. Cooperating with Rachel the Audiologist at The Listening Center and the tests she performed in a never before experienced sound proof (psych proof) booth, I waited with my wife for the results. "Mr. T. she said, you have remarkable language skills and your lip reading is some of the best I have seen". She continued, "You are a prime candidate for the Cochlear Implant in your right ear as it is your worst side." As she turned it and pointed to the new hearing test print-out on her desk. I reached for a tissue and just wept. "Medicare pays everything for the Cochlear Implant too." "Did you hear me Mr. T.?" She looked at my wife and said "Let's just give him a minute." That was Monday morning. It's looking like it may go quick as I have my CT scan tomorrow 02042020 and I meet with the surgeon on the 26th.

Skip the machine and just go to the desk. I asked the receptionist why there are two stations and got "I don't know".

While I found Dr. Kesselman to be straightforward and responsive to my questions (it was my first…read morevisit with her), the visit felt very rushed and I barely had time to answer the family history questions. She said I should still be doing a breast exam even though the AMA says not to. I'm not sure who to believe. When I mentioned the problems I had with their phone confirmation process, she said it was "above her pay grade" and said I should talk to the office manager. I told her when I made an error trying to reconfirm my appt, there was no way to rectify it. I spent 1/2 hr on the phone with the call center and they were very unhelpful. I was very upset when the call center said to me I had lost the appt "fair and square"!! There was nothing fair about it. I made the appt six weeks out and then lost it because their system is horrible. They don't ask you to confirm your cancellation. It's just cancelled. No second chance. No email. I needed the appt to refill prescriptions before the end of the year. They refused to rebook my appt. even when I said it was a medical issue. I emailed the office several times using their portal with no luck. They said to call the day when I had my original appt to see if someone had cancelled. So I did. Guess what?! My original appointment time was available! There's something wrong here. I want to note that the in-office staff were all pleasant and friendly. It was the call center staff and manager who were unhelpful. Customer service is apparently not a priority for GWU. That's unfortunate.

My office is about 2 blocks away from her office so after lunch, I walked down to her office and tried to think happy thoughts. After I got there, I was greeted by the friendly receptionist and office helper(?). I was called in and ran through a brief history with Dr. Kesselman before proceeding to the exam room. It wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought it would be - Dr. Kesselman was very professional and talked to me throughout the whole exam and always told me what she was doing and why and kept me talking to help keep my mind off of the awkward part. Dr. Kesselman is great and I would recommend her practice to others.

My father was a patient of Dr. Maruf for years. Dr. Maruf was always available when my father…read moreneeded him and he was also very comforting to my father and me during a crisis with my father. I will always be grateful for that. I am also a patient of Dr. Maruf and I feel that he truly cares about me. When I am with Dr. Maruf I never feel rushed. He is a kind, gentle, and excellent Doctor. I have recommended him to many friends and family members and they have all felt as I do about him. The staff warm, helpful, and friendly. The office is very attractive and clean. Occasionally the wait can be a bit long because they take emergencies as they arise. What good is a doctor if they are not available in an emergency!

I came in for a medical examination for green card purposes. The reason I chose this place is…read morebecause I've read so many good reviews about this place and how Dr. Emmanuel Brown has excellent bedside manner. I had Dr. Simeon Obeng as my doctor and I was not impressed with his bedside manner AT ALL. He seemed annoyed and almost irritated like he was just waiting to get off work. Afterwards, they sent me a link to my online medical records and I saw that the doctor made a note stating that I have a history of alcohol abused! So I called the office and the Dr. Obeng said that he had to put that in because there are only a few boxes he can tick... Just to be clear when he asked me about my alcohol history I just said that I don't consume alcohol anymore and when I did it was only on social occasions. I don't know how that made me an ex alcoholic. I find it outrageous to have "history of alcohol abused" on my medical record when it is not true. The reason I'm giving this place 2 star instead of 1 is because the price is reasonable, the office was clean and all of the staff were nice and friendly.

Grace always takes time to find out what is going on in your life, and tries always to find better ways to solve medical problems. 2. Grace always listens and genuinely cares. The sad reality is that Dr. Grace is retiring at the end of this month. After 10 years of wandering to the same Doctor, I am going to miss her. But, I am also happy that she gets to do the things that make her happy now. I wish her the best of luck in her new journey!

She hangs up the phone and refuses to talk. Come on. It is the bill coming from your office and you did not process the insurance claim right. It is super frustrating experience. Worst doctor office staff I've ever seen. I would not recommend to go to this doctor's office just because it is impossible not to deal with this one particular staff.

I went here for almost ten years. My psychiatrist helped me through a very difficult time in my…read morelife. I couldn't imagine a better experience. They are true professionals. You can't just show up and expect to be seen because they are scheduled to see their patients. In fact, people should call as soon as they think they may need help because there is often a couple week waitlist. They time their appointments so there aren't a lot of people in the waiting room. It is for reasons of confidentiality. You wouldn't want to run into your next door neighbor there. If I ever needed help again, I wouldn't hesitate to return to this practice.
