A 12 hour long-haul flight from Seattle to Manila then a bus ride all the way up to Baguio. I was on a mission to visit Hatch Coffee. Was the journey worth it? Absolutely. We settled into our hotel then visited this café for brunch.
We went during the week. We were stuck in traffic but at least it wasn't during rush hour.
We were greeted with menus on clipboards then brought to our table on the patio. It was a warm welcome. We chose a smorgasbord of items because we wanted to taste a little bit of everything. Once we figured out what we wanted I got up and went inside to place the order. Once I started placing my order they told me some of their menu items were out of stock. Unfortunately, they didn't use labeling/cover up tape on the hard copy menus so I had to choose off the cuff different food items right at the register. They offered comparable alternatives so that helped.
That coffee though...what a hit. It's better than some of the coffee I've had in Seattle. Their latte art was on point too. Food was good. The environment was relaxing and they had an assortment of flora all over the property. They had a really nice landscape design. It rained a little bit. I like Baguio's weather, temps, and terrain. It reminded me of home. Staff were super friendly, they provided excellent service, and they took good care of us. It was a really cute cafe. I really liked this coffee/brunch spot.
