The Fairview Park shop is a nice combination of clothes and some great bric a brac. Located in a medium sized plaza the Discovery Shop is also medium sized, always clean and well organized and you can find some great finds. Each week they have a 50% off color and the last weekend of the month everything in the store is 50% off. At this store I have found some really good clothes finds, especially on the men's clearance rack where the cost is $1 per item. I have found suit jackets, shirts and pants, while the men's selection is not large, what they have is usually very good and high quality. I have noticed that this store has a much larger selection of women's clothes. The store usually has a nice small selection of dishes, kitchenware and art; they do have some really interesting items up near the register, they often have some pieces from Europe, Asia and Africa. The selection seems to change everytime I have visited, nothing seems to last long at this shop. As an example I found a really nice leather motorcycle bag for under $10. The Fairview Park Discovery Shop is a fun and diverse place to do some thrifting; not the biggest store, but they really do a great job of making sure that they are selling high quality items at great prices. Not the kind of thrift store you are going to spend hours at, but well worth a visit whenever you are in the area to check out what they have. Plus the proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society which is a very worthwhile charity.

Recently, on Saturday, 28 December 2024, I came to find a formal dress for a wedding. I had a good experience here. I entered from the Northwest entrance and asked for help with finding the formal dresses. A female employee kindly directed me to the formal dresses which happened to be in the same area where I was already located (1st floor right at the Northwest entrance door). I walked a few second down from where I was and I immediately found 2 great dresses. I tried them on in the changing room and then choose a beautiful and long blue dress. I used a gift card to purchase the dress and the price was under $80 because the dress was on sale. So, I got a good deal. With the remaining balance on my gift card, I bought blush (face makeup) which is something I wanted but I didn't have at home. The one I bought is actually also an eye shadow and eye liner as well. The brand is Lancôme Paris. The 2 ladies over at the Lancôme makeup counter were very helpful. They helped me try on the blush first to see how it would look on my face (they mixed in the blush with a foundation to see how it would look). I'll certainly be back if I need a new dress. The store was neat and customer service was great. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 8/365 total reviews in 2025 - 789 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 January 2025

Instead of peeling the yellow tag they put the original price back and they were selling it for full price. When I went back there to ask about it and showed them the prices, the manager immediately starts yelling saying legally we can do whatever we want to do. That is scamming people, but most importantly he didn't leave me a chance to talk !! Had he been kind, I would have understood but he was rude and unpleasant from the start. I am not going back there!! This happened at Great Northern Mall Macys.
