I've been a customer of Bridgeman insurance for 14 years. Had a water claim house was…read moreuninhabitable. Talked to insurance company Travelers. Advised me to obtain temporary housing during the repair project. After spending around ten thousand dollars for temporary housing, I was advised that I didn't have loss of use coverage. Bridgeman failed in their duties as my insurance company of which I've been a customer for 14 years. They told me it was my fault. I have stage 4 lung and liver cancer. This has added extreme stress to my life and is deleterious to my health. I would have never purchased homeowners insurance without a rider that would pay for loss of use. In summation I would not want this to happen to anyone. And I would never use Bridgeman insurance or Travelers insurance!

I canceled my insurance effective March 13, 2022 because of a high unjustified rate increase, but the company they had me set up with (Farmers), still debited the mo. premium from my checking account that month and consequently overdrew my account because it was not supposed to happen and I didn't have sufficient funds. While my premium has been refunded, my $15 overdraft fee has NOT. The Bridgeman agent keeps telling me they have been trying to get the money back from Farmers, but it has not happened. It's my opinion that the agent should have the common courtesy to refund the $15 and then get their money back from Farmers. Consequently, I do not think I can use this agent again if they cannot even afford to refund the overdraft fee. We wound up doing better in our own in the long run.

Our premiums increased each year, even though we did not file claims. After switching our auto insurance to another company with much cheaper rates, Crawford Butz simply dropped our homeowner insurance. I contacted them several times in an attempt to see if they would drop our premiums to match quotes that I received from other companies. They refused to match these rates and sent a very nasty letter, with a number of grammatical errors to inform me that they were dropping my homeowner policy. I would not recommend them to anyone that I know.
