I have hired Steve Harvey several times over the past few decades and had to hire him again this week. He is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about his trade. This time I had 20 tons of concrete and yard FULL of tumbleweeds and a truck load of junk that a tenant left for me to dispose of! the original service requested was completed in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. I was really pleased with that. However, The owner is really aggressive about upselling other services, which okay fine that's part of business. but then, after agreeing to do several more things for me, he ghosted me when I wouldn't sell him my car (for next to nothing). didn't finish the rest of the agreed upon work, didn't message or answer calls, just ghosted because he didn't get his way. keep an eye on him, don't agree to any further services and you'll be fine. He will get the job done, unless he gets mad and ghosts you. I was really hoping it would be better because I know he did some okay work for my Dad but he will push to upsell you more services. if you know what you want and stick to your guns, he will give you a pretty decent price. But you can't count on him not to try to pull something. I'm also personally not comfortable with several of the aspects of the way he does business, but like I said, for the original service it was fine. read more

Really terrible communication. No response via website. Tried to call and was told to text. Hours of waiting for replies while my responses to his questions were immediate. He hassled me regarding the contents of boxes in pictures he asked me to send. Seems he was looking for any excuse to not do the job. He dropped the ball and never got back to me. Never received a quote. The opposite of a can-do attitude. Very unprofessional. Done Right Junk Removal took care of it easy instead. read more

I WISH WE WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS FIRST BEFORE HIRING My husband got a decent quote from Harvey, communicated well, and showed up on time, THATS IT. I was really expecting someone different.. but no he was very unprofessional. Finished loading our stuff then proceeded to pee on our drive way, WTF?!, when told something he laughed it off. Then he had the decency to ask for some water from the garden hose my husband said yes to get it over with, he got 5+ gallons of water. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS GUYS NERVE. Supposedly the Water were for his "horses". I don't believe it, sadly my husband did Plus his "truck" looks like its about to fall apart. This man is rude and unprofessional. He was suppose to be at my house at 9 AM. At 9:24 I text him to let him know I can't wait any longer have to go to work. This is what he text me back: "You're making too much of a big thing about this if I have to I'll show up earlier now please I'm a real busy man I've given you my word will be there relax" How can you show up earlier when you're already late. Well he never came to get my trash and waste management told me that he used my voucher. What kind of business would do something like this? A business man who cares about his business and reputation would've contacted the customer and made things right. He's dishonest and should be shut down. When I told him that I'm going to report him this is what he text me back: "Lady you're very neurotic I have never had a customer as neurotic as you are I told you we would be there on Monday I offered to come earlier you refuse to have it come earlier what's it going to be you're going to work with me or am I going to delete your number forever you can report me all you want I've done nothing wrong" He's crazy and shouldn't be in business. I have all of the texts between us. He hasn't said anything about why he used my voucher for someone else's stuff. The mutha#%/&! Just admitted to using my voucher knowing it wasn't my stuff he dumped. Latest text: I will reimburse you the 12.50 if you would just go away you know what I've got enough problems some people making problems for me I told you I would be there on Monday I told you 10 times but you just keep on pushing me until I don't want to work with you Something need to be done about this man. read more

They did what we agreed upon. Offered to do more. In the end, they took my waste piles to the city dump just like they said they would. The guys I dealt with were polite and respectful. I plan to use them again. read more

Steve Harvey who owns the company is horrible to deal with. He's extremely sexist. He was just a jerk. He did things like unload in my bathroom stinking up the entire apartment and THEN STEALING THE TOILET PAPER. He tried to take the light bulbs out of all my lighting fixtures for himself. And got angry when I made him leave them. His crew is very good. He threw away important boxes of photos and such. Stuff I had marked to keep. Everything I left for him to haul way, he was selling. And he was not discreet about it. Asking what sizes everything were, etc. I have since dealt with two other haul away services and had no problems at all. They asked did I mind if they sold the items I was discarding or gave them to a charity. read more

If it was possible to give a 0 Star I would, absolutely so rude and disrespectful . Does not deserves to have a business . I messaged him to get a quote on a clean up and he gave me an absolute ridiculous price and I told him thank you but I will be going with someone else , he then proceeded to text me awful things and literally THREATENING me telling me to never ask for a quote again, and how he's the best and will not stop messaging me !!! I had them take stuff to the dump for me. Very friendly and fast service. They were thorough and reasonably priced. They also helped us load a washer and dryer for my friend at the same time for no extra cost but I gave them extra anyways. I highly recommend. read more

This company was hired to transport a bed from one location to another. While the bed arrived safe and sound with no damage, I would not use them again. The owner was rude. He did nothing but complain about everything from the distance traveled to the inconvenience of picking up the bed. He bid on the job knowing where he would need to pick up the bed. I've called on Harvey's Haulaway Service a couple of times. Both were good experiences. I had only a few fairly large/heavy items to be removed. He fit a convenient time for pickup quickly. He and his team arrived on time. They took care to be certain of exactly what I wanted. They stuck to the estimate. The price was competitive, and they even were able to use my soon-to-expire Waste Management annual vouchers to bring the costs down. Very professional and courteous.
