Architecturally-minded friends had stayed here on their Daylesford travels and trusting their taste, I knew I had to stay here for our few days stopover in this Victorian wonderland.
Located a stones-throw from the main street of Daylesford, this beautiful self-contained studio is a cosy home away from home - especially when we visited in the middle of winter. We certainly made use of the fire place!
The owners of this studio are interior stylists and designers, and it shows in the styling of the apartment. Little touches like the hamper of local food and drink upon arrival, the expertly colour coordinated cushions and throw rug on the lounge. Subtle bursts of colour before walking upstairs to the loft bedroom which is a more subdued rustic feel.
Open the french doors to the balcony off the bedroom for a 360-degree view of the area. It was truly something with the leaves changing colour.
It was the perfect stop and switch off rest that we needed after a road trip along the Great Ocean Road. It's not cheap but for the feeling of isolation (despite being a 10min walk from the city proper) and style of the apartment, it was, for me, 100% worth it. read more
