We have been with this program for a number of years, bundling home and auto. Yes, the rates keep going up each year, which is to be expected. Last year seemed on the excessive side, but I let it roll. Today I realized that they are proposing a 71% increase in our premium for 2026 to 2027. What?! We are mature adult drivers with less than 10,000 annual miles of driving. My husband had a recent minor accident, but I don't believe that has even entered into the calculation for the new premium. There was no damage to the other car, very minimal damage to ours, and no injuries. No tickets or other accidents on record. 71%? What I see online is other consumers reporting that their rates were going up 45 to 50% in a number of cases. Once they shopped other providers, they were able to get much better deals. I sure hope that will be the case when our agent shops options for us. Just on general principal, I want to get away from Hartford as soon as possible! It's a good thing our renewal time is almost here, and we will be moving on away from them. Their partnering with AARP to save older drivers money seems to have turned into a bad joke, bordering on a scam.

The letter I received from the Bank stated I needed to carry a certain amount of coverage before they would approve the loan. I had a suspicion that I did not need it, but had to expedite the process...and John was there every step of the way. John contacted FEMA, got from them what I needed and instructed me on what I needed to do. Not only did he help with that, he was also experienced enough to know that what the Bank was telling me I needed was false. Furthermore, he contacted both the bank and FEMA again for me to allow me to focus at my job, while all of this detail was being handled in the background. John is experienced, friendly, and is a top of the line insurance agent. He goes above and beyond for people, and has a very calming and reassuring tone to his voice when speaking with you. He will follow-through in what he says he will do, and even go beyond that without you asking. His office team is friendly and courteous, and will assist you when John is helping other clients. They are experienced, and they know what they are doing as well. I would recommend John's agency over any other State Farm agency for this very reason. Unfortunately, after waiting over another hour n no show, i attempted to call the tow company multiple times to get an answering machine. I then attempted to call the insurance, and it was a back n forth, and they were going to follow up, but time kept ticking n no tow truck. I finally had to call 911 n have them send their highway tow truck, pay out of pocket and tomorrow follow up to pick up and have towed again to dealer or see if they could repair at their shop. I sat in my car w open window, unable to close it because the car was completely dead. I had to put a table cloth over the window to help keep wind out until I texted my supervisor to pick me up. It has been one frustrating afternoon and unacceptable client service and possibly endangering my well-being. This has led me to cancel my policy and would never deal with liberty Mutual ever again.

My personal agent, Heidi, always recommends me insurance that fits me - nothing that I can't afford and is outrageous, but nothing that will screw me over if I need to claim an accident. If you're looking for a reasonably priced insurance agency who makes you feel like a person - if not a member of their family - and not a number and is willing to help you when you need them, this is your place. My parents have been coming here for the longest time, so I just automatically came here. I just purchased a new vehicle and now that I'm leaving in a year, I'm going to have to try to find someplace similar to Cuddy but I know they're few and far between and it won't be easy to find (if I can).

I rarely give 5-star review but I feel Coastal Insurance and their team deserve this recognition…read more Recently I purchased a house and my mortgage broker pushed me to use their insurance company for obvious reason. While the pricing is great, I wanted to compare both the rate and the coverage. I emailed 5 different insurance companies and 4 of them immediately said "we'll get you the same policy for the same money" but only ONE came back to me and said you are not being covered properly and there's conflicting info in the underwriting language. That firm was none other than Coastal Insurance (see attached email). While their policy came back to be $200 more, but their policy also offers substantially more coverage. I would've rather pay the extra money than to leave myself exposed to a potential loss and claim denial b/c I didn't read the fine print. In a society where speed and cheap trumps service and common sense, it's refreshing to see a company that is thorough and didn't "sell me on price and price alone." Just an FYI, they also have an affiliate that provide tax grievance service and have saved me thousands of dollars with my commercial and residential properties.
