I was here a week ago, and it was hell. I was there cuz of my depression, andI'mm,13, so I was in the ado. The nurses there disrespected me, and they were just rude. They didn't care if you didn't eat; they just cared that they were getting money. I had taken many pieces of food, and they just took them away. I wasn't unit-bound, I wasn't put in the chair, it was like Oh, you're suicidal, I don't care. I still have a bruise from where I got my blood drawn; it was huge. The food was good, but on my second-to-last breakfast, they served us "eggs" that looked like rubber. I ended up getting sick and puking all night. Addison didn't care about groups; he just rushed through it and we played hot seat the rest of the time. Katie was rude, and I got in trouble for wearing the short ass shorts that they gave me. Katy threatened to put me at a table by myself because, as she said, "you are disturbing everyone elseLikeike bitch, I was just talking, you haven't given me my antidepressants or my ADHD medicine, and they say I'm the problem. When there was a fight, they put us in the hallway to protect us, but who is to stop them from going down the hallway? We weren't allowed to touch physically, which I get, but when my friend was crying cuz of personal reasons, I hugged him and I got yelled at. I didn't get my clothes till my third day, and some people came after me who got their clothes first. My dad dropped me off clothes and such, and I only got my blanket. I only saw my therapist once, and she was just rude. There were code greens all the time, and sometimes it took minutes, sometimes it took an hour, so when I was getting asked questions, I had to wait 20 minutes because of it. My curly hair is damaged because of the shampoo and brushes;s, they didn't have products, and they yelled at me when I asked for them. The nurse Ko,dy was one of the few nurses who cared about my mental health getting better. When I asked for a hot pack, it took 30 minutes to get 1. It was hard to sleep because when they did their rounds, they would always leave the door wide open. The night shift was loud, and they kept me up all night. The night shift didn't even do their rounds every 15 minutes; it was like every hour. When I asked to see my therapist about my book, she didn't see me. Groups were mostly TED talks and such. I remember one TED Talk that talked about people committing suicide off the Golden Gate Bridge, like, ok, show that to a ton of suicidal teens. We didn't even learn how to cope with what we were going through. We weren't able to give out our personal details, like why, is it cause we will want to go back together, we didn't want to be there in the first place. We also were allowed to curse, but they didn't care; they let me curse them out all I wanted. And it was obvious they were picking favorites because when I cursed, it was fine, when I cursed, I was in trouble. My room was moved once, and they didn't even tell me why. I was in room 200, and I think 208, if you see "A "LB on the walls, I was there. When I got there, I was able to sneak in a piece of paper my friend gave me, easily, like what the fuck. When we got calls, it was only for like 15 minutes, and it was monitored, so it didn't help when I was telling my mom about my thoughts. There was a girl who was trying to get sleep, but she wasnt aible to because of the staff. We were taken outside 3 out of the 5 days I was there and it was freezinng outside. And after I was let out, they didnt give me half of the items I had until last week. read more
