After waiting for about ten mins to get served at a quiet point on numerous occasions i regularly find myself waiting for at LEAST 20 minutes to receive an order of usually just two items. The staff are rather unfriendly and impolite and can be seen speaking amongst themselves before bothering to acknowledge the queue that has gathered. This would be mildly understandable if the staff comprised of just teenagers but I have witnessed individuals over 30/40 years old being just as rude. I won't even bother to discuss my few encounters I've had with them over the phonea disgrace to say the least. The only individuals I know who use them only do so for convenience, it appears that most prefer to use the other local chip shop which is a quick drive away. If they could go back to the standards of about two years ago they would be fine, but think they need to review their current staff and procedures to achieve this!

The fish fryer was pinching one of the young boys bottoms and then moving foods around with her hands. One other staff member had a receipt in her mouth for someone's carryout meal and then stapled it to the bag it was being delivered in. There is only a couple of staff who seemed decent enough, the rest are foul mouthed immature and should not be working in any establishment that handles food. Now I am going to report them to the food standards.

They do not stock up the hot plate so you often have to wait but you know it is going to be freshly cooked. They have a good range of pizza, these have a thin crust which I prefer. Some of the toppings are not strictly traditional, maybe for the more adventurous. My wife usually has the flame grilled burger which she raves about. Worth a visit.

Hi All, I would like to call your attention to the poor food hygiene in this shop. The food is…read moreyummy (on the few occasions I've had it) but I have to say buying directly at the shop this evening and being able to observe how food was being handled gave me the shivers. I was absolutely appalled to see that the employees are using their BARE HANDS to touch all kind of food, both cooked food (such as fish) but also raw ingredients from the cold condiments section... They should wear gloves... I even saw the person preparing my order go out of sight further inside the kitchen and reappear a few seconds later with a handful of frozen peas in his BARE HAND which he threw into the frying pan to prepare my Risotto Verda. I said to the lady who had accepted my order that this was not OK, to which she said they ALL USED THEIR BARE HANDS AT THIS SHOP and this was OK as long as their hands were clean... I saw her using her BARE HAND to pull out two pre-cooked pieces of fish from the heated window to prepare somebody's fish and chips order... And this is the person who touched the till machine and handled cash, etc. I asked to speak to the manager but was refused. When I said I would unfortunately have to report them to the local food hygiene authority, there was a flurry of activity as another employee started dealing a number and handing the phone over to the lady speaking to me... I asked for my receipt so I could go (without the food obviously) and as I was going out of the shop she shouted behind me that I should better never go back... So adding poor customer service to poor food hygiene and handling... Just so disappointing. This can't be right. I have reported the shop to the local food hygiene authority. I would ask everyone reading this review to please observe if the hygiene remains poor at this shop and report them accordingly. It would be worth it if we could save at least one person from getting a bug or infection or food poisoning after eating food from this shop.
