Looking at the prices on the menu it was hard to connect the dots! Service was slow to come over and take our orders, even though we gave her drinks, apps and mains in one go! Staff were extremely pleasant when we had their attention, but I think they were either new at this or just struggled keeping a handle on their tables. The apps and main plates were quite good, the desserts were a little disappointing and sounded better on the menu! Overall, if you have two hours to spare and not in a huge rush for dinner this is your place!

This is a good one, with a fine selection of beers (including some nice real ales) and a very good menu. I brought my wife, Sandi, here for her birthday on St. George's Day but unfortunately they weren't doing Roast Beef, so she had Steak & Ale (Tim Taylor's) Pie and I had Minted Lamb. Both dishes were well presented, and very tasty! This isn't the cheapest place to go for food, but it's a long way from being expensive and is certainly good value for money. For all of my British mates reading this, yes I know old news!! haha but for us Americans this building is only 11 years younger than our country. It was early in the day so there weren't very many people there. I was met with politeness, open to sit wherever and to take my time. I setup my laptop and had a beer. I thought I would have something to eat and was so amazingly surprised that they had vegan options here! It definitely gave me hope that this was going to be a great trip.
