It's a small corner park in Harrison West off the corner of 4th Avenue and Oregon that is said to be the oldest park in the Harrison West neighborhood. It's basically a neighborhood playground or scenic spot to enjoy sunshine, read, or just take in the surroundings. The area, of course has that old 19th Century vibe, an urban peacefulness.
The park shares the aesthetics of its Victorian neighborhood. Up on a mound bordered by brick with grass, shrubs, trees as base, the .35acre spot sports black streetlights, benches, ropey jungle gyms, swings and slides.
There is no shelter house nor gazebos here so it is not a candidate for graduation or family reunion parties, but if you are out or live in the area, it's a pretty cool place to take a break at. There is plenty of shade to escape the summer sun. read more
