This small community green is ideal for tots. It has clean and new jungle gyms, swings, and other staples for children 3 to 10. The playland here is encircled by black fencing, a godsend to parents and babysitters alike so they may enjoy some peace at a distance, while still watching the kiddos play safely inside a boundary.
Outside this Funk-ee-town the park acts as a simple breather space, a have a snack space, or a walk your dog space. There are several benches, a long yard of grass, and an aerobic track that cuts through.
On its southern side is a new gazebo. Here the Harrison West Jazz Series makes home on Sunday afternoon in September. With plenty of space on clean, fresh grass, the music is an enjoyable way to savor Sunday Afternoons.
The downside is the trees and shrubs tracing the Olentangy don't do much to mute the traffic swooshing on 315.It is not too noisy, but the wind tunnel like hum is unending. If you are of sensitive hearing, or have no sweet jazz to blot the sound, you may not enjoy this park. For most though it fades to the background.
It is in Harrison West between where 1st and 2nd Avenues are cutoff by the river. read more
