My aunt came in to the emergency room because of severe stomach pain. She was also dizzy and very weak. During her assessment, she was asked to give a urine sample, given a specimen cup, and pointed to the nearest restroom. My aunt asked for help and stated again that she was feeling very weak. Staff dismissed her concern and was told that she would "be fine". After giving her specimen, my aunt got dizzy again and fell. She hit her head on the floor, resulting in a black eye and possible broken nose. Additionally, she spilled the urine and had to lay in it until staff came to get her up. When more than one staff member was required to help her up, they complained that she was "too heavy" for just one staff to assist. To top off everything, my aunt had to request an xray, since one was not done automatically. The attending staff did NOT complete an incident report on this. read more
