This information is incorrect. Harris Teeter's return policy allows items to be returned at any Harris Teeter location. I was not requesting an exception--only that the standard policy be followed. Being given inaccurate policy information caused unnecessary inconvenience during what should have been a routine and straightforward transaction. The issue here is not the return itself, but the lack of accurate policy knowledge provided to customers. I wish I could give zero stars .. Every product I've purchased that is of the Harris Teeter brand has been absolutely TERRIBLE and reek of low quality ingredients.. from there pasta to their pasta sauce down to their frozen products. All disgusting. Overall store prices are quite high as well. With the money they make they should be able to make some products that aren't so completely unappetizing and repulsive. I also purchased a 4 pack of mini rose champagne bottles about a week or 2 ago that were on sale and quickly discovered why they were on sale. I opened one of the minis and it was COMPLETELY flat. As we all know champagne is suppose to be highly carbonated. If I wanted something with absolutely no bubbles I would have purchased still rose wine. It was disgusting how flat it was. I called to speak with a manager and explained to her I only opened one out of the 4 pack and wanted to return or exchange for something else since the product has clearly gone bad/was very old. She told me they wouldn't allow a return OR exchange on alcohol even tho as I said it was clearly gone bad or expired because there was no proof of expiration date on the package. She was pretty nonchalant about the problem and unapologetic. She seemed as tho my call was a bother to her. Terrible customer service overall! I told her they needed to remove them from the shelves but they probably didn't. Some unsuspecting customers have also purchased them excited thinking they were getting a deal with this sale only to find they are simply pushing out old expired product. (I opened one more after and the metal from the cap has rust on it!!!) Purchased pound cake slices from their bakery section and those were also terrible. Taste is low quality, reeks of artificial flavoring and chemicals. Produce selection is also uninviting. The selection of fresh, unpackaged lettuce is always disappointing. I am not from here but have been visiting this store only because it's close to where I am staying with my family the past couple months but my experiences have been absolutely horrible. Do not recommend to anyone. So, after 4 months the Harris Teeter on Rockfish Rd still does not carry the HT brand of Parm. Cheese. Knowing this I hit the store on Raeford Rd to pick up a few things, which included Parm. Went to the cheese island and no Parm. But, they had plenty of Pecorino. I circled the island a few times before asking, just in case. Nope, so I asked the cheese specialist if they had any parm. Which she stated, yes in front of you. I looked down, and said no this is Pecorino. Which, she the cheese specialist replied. It is the same thing. Ahem, so back and forth a minute explaining the difference. I moved the individual blocks around and boom they are sitting on a half block of Parm. I pointed this out. Cheese specialist that is Parm Me but label states Pecorino Cheese specialist but it is Parm, we dont have labels. We can only print that label. Wtf haha So, moral of the story. What is on the label is merely a suggestion. Hopefully when I need a Prime Rib it will be marked and priced as chicken. Anyway, Harris Teeter what happened to basic standards? I decided to go here for a promotion cake for my husbands big day, thinking this place will do an amazing job. NOT!!! First off, the writing was not centered, it was crooked and it looks like a high schooler wrote it, not a professional Baker. ALSO I asked for chocolate. Just moved nearby and was looking forward to shopping at Harris Teeter regularly. But I've now been at least six times and consistently left without items I needed because it's so poorly stocked. The produce department, in particular, is constantly sold out of basics ..like iceberg lettuce. strawberries, broccoli or yellow onions. The meat department has a very limited selection as well. Despite the convenient location, I don't think I can make this my regular store....too frustrating to have to add multiple stops other places to get necessities. read more

second time I have ordered pizza on line, waited over 45 minutes for the pick up time, only to go in and be told they didn't get the order. Second time as I'm leaving the store I get a text telling me my pizza is ready. Only again it wasn't. They need to figure out what the issue with their online ordering is and get it fixed. Please consider adding a "couponer" only line. For the second week in a row, we stood in line behind a couponer thumbing through a huge binder of coupons. Once the coupon was located and the purchase was tallied, the couponer debated with the cashier about the discount. Then, the cashier had to call for a manager for an approval. I mentioned to a customer service rep about adding a couponer only line. She said she receives this request quite frequently, but the store will not allow it. It would seem that couponers might appreciate the process more than those of us who do not coupon. They may be more invested in spending their time at the grocery store where others of us are not. (As I spoke to the customer service rep, there were two other lines with couponers debating about $ at cash registers as the lines lengthened.) Please consider my plea! read more

So many reviews on this store give low ratings from a single experience with a single rude employee. One star rating for "everything was great except the checkout lady was rude." One star? Really? Do you realize you can give 2, 3, or 4 stars? Not just 1 or 5? What an unhelpful review and unfair rating to give an entire store. I've been to 15 Harris Teeters between NC and MD and this one was by far the cleanest, most well stocked (meaning shelves were full), had very pleasant employees, and friendly pharmacy staff. In the 3 visits I had on 3 different days (and 3 different times) during my week here, I spoke to at least 7 employees who were all helpful and kind. I went to the pharmacy twice and both pharmacists were great. The cashier who rung me up this morning was Molly- she worked quick and was very nice. My pharmacy experience this morning was also excellent- Jasmine was so positive and pleasant, somehow keeping a great attitude on a busy, short staffed morning (imagine trying to juggle drive thru customers, in store customers, and filling prescriptions at the same time). I can't believe with the COVID-19 PANDEMIC going on and masks being MANDATORY AND REQUIRED BY LAW that Harris Teeter on Raeford Rd @ Highland center allows both customers and EMPLOYEES in the store without face covering!! I've experienced this multiple times during this crisis! Wouldn't you think management or corporate would train employees to politely tell folks "Sorry, but it's a law that for the safety of ALL OF US everyone is required to wear a mask in the store. We can offer you one but if you choose not to comply we'll have to ask you to vacate." I feel like the staff at HT just decides to ignore it...I know they see it. read more

This Harris Teeter is about as good as it gets for the area and I found the produce especially nice, hard to find items in good supply, fresh herbs, baby bok choy, myriad beets, etc. and all nicely handled and displayed far more variety than any of their closest competitors. Deli area is pristine, as are the meat and seafood areas; even found salmon roe, a nice bonus. All counter help was super friendly and helpful. Wine section is more than sufficient, all the best mixers, plus they have a lot of kitchen gadgets in addition to their wine and spirits gadgets, another plus if you're on the road and need utensils. Dried goods and canned goods selection is beyond Food Lion by light years, cereals, too, even found Familia Muesli, a rare commodity in all but the best stores. Tip: Have a VIC card or borrow one before going as they have some super specials for card carrying members. You're going to pay a premium for some premium goods but serious foodies would shop nowhere else in the area. read more

on 8-3-2021 we placed an order at Harris Teeter at Highland center in Fayetteville n.c. the order was totaling $502.10 and my mother that is 68 years old attemped to call Brian F. who is the store manager and hung up on my mother 6 times and he would not allow anybody to speak to us about our order and we also had dealings with him in the past on christmas eve 2020 about a cake that was done incorrectly and he threatend me and my girlfriend with the police and bodyly injury and we were given a $75 dollar gift card by corp. for what he did and nothing happend to Brian and on this issue from august we will be asking Harris Teeter to fire Brian because he is not fit to work in a retail store and we will not be dropping this issue for $75 this time read more

What is up with this stores management? After four visits and receiving the same horrid service at each visit, I will not darken their door again. From the girl behind the cold cuts counter who acted bothered I asked for a pound of sliced ham to the checkout folks who hold up a vegetable and ask me "what is this and how much do it cost?" Her exact phrase. Are you kidding me? Isn't that YOUR job? Its like everyone in the store is pissed they have to work and, heaven help them, assist a customer. I am not asking outlandish questions, just simple common ones like "Can I have that meat cut in thin slices?" And today my Wife and Son were treated worse than when I go in there. I like my grocery store, always clean. Like my samples feel like sam club.just kidding. But they always have a good variety of things and different things. They are also open 24 hours so they get that 5 star for that. The employees seem happy to work there as show it with there service. This is where I do most of my grocery shopping. There are a lot of great things about this location. They have an outstanding meat department. Several of the butchers recognize me, and they usually fill me in on specials and don't mind how picky I am when choosing which meat I want to bring home. They are usually well stocked as far as pantry supplies are concerned. Where this Teeter fails, and fails in a big way, is the produce section. The produce is usually in pretty bad shape. I think it is more the architects fault than the employees. There are huge skylights that beam sunlight on all the produce. It's pretty much the worst scenario I can imagine. The garlic always has green shoots in it and the onions are usually no better, if they haven't already gone soft. Forget about shallots. The potatoes are usually green and sprouting as well. The tomatoes are rarely firm and are usually half rotten. Most of the greens are in decent shape simply because they are not in the direct sunlight and receive some refrigeration. Prices are definitely higher hear, especially for pantry goods. However, being that this Teeter is a little more out of the way it is usually a little more pleasant to shop at than the one on Raeford. Sometimes they lack enough cashiers, but it isn't consistently short staffed. The produce issue is a big deal to me, so this review is more of a 3 1/2, but I will round up to a 4. read more

Although their brochure states that 'side items in complete dinner can be changed for same quantity of your choice' and also lists A La Carte and Sides I was told that sides can NOT be ordered and changes can NOT be made. I have always shopped at the Harris Teeter in OBX when vacationing and loved it, so when moving to Fayetteville from Florida, I was excited that there was one nearby to shop at. So far I have been there 4 times and to say I am underwhelmed is putting it mildly. This location is truly disappointing. I thought maybe after the first time I caught them on a bad day or wrong day of the week but now that I have made four visits I will not be returning there for my weekly grocery shopping. The produce section Is downright gross. It's hard to find fresh produce never mind something that hasn't already spoiled. And organic- forget it. Not only will you pay and arm and a leg but it's rotten or about to be. So I looked at conventional- still expensive and not much better! I would imagine maybe they don't have a market for organic if people around don't buy it but even the non organic is bad. I bough the Harris Teeter brand organic spring mix with an expiration date of 5/21 and it was moldy in my fridge by 5/18. There's $4.99 wasted. I mentioned the sub-par produce to the clerk yesterday and he agreed with me and told me that the other Fayetteville location was better and even had a pizza bar. I might try it. I told him I heard Publix is coming and that once they open they're going to put them out of business. In the meantime I'll try Food Lion across the street I guess! read more

Loved this store until today. Cashier at self check out was incredibly rude in assisting us. The screen wasn't working properly, and the cashier thought telling us "you actually have to pay for things here" was appropriate. Management's response was less then promising. Will not be paying premium prices only to be accused of stealing tomatoes by a 16 year old cashier. The new food lion across the street is just as nice and cheaper. read more
