Could be Pecorino, could be Parm. Mystery cheese
    Vitto P.

So, after 4 months the Harris Teeter on Rockfish Rd still does not carry the HT brand of Parm. Cheese. Knowing this I hit the store on Raeford Rd to pick up a few things, which included Parm. Went to the cheese island and no Parm. But, they had plenty of Pecorino. I circled the island a few times before asking, just in case. Nope, so I asked the cheese specialist if they had any parm. Which she stated, yes in front of you. I looked down, and said no this is Pecorino. Which, she the cheese specialist replied. It is the same thing. Ahem, so back and forth a minute explaining the difference. I moved the individual blocks around and boom they are sitting on a half block of Parm. I pointed this out. Cheese specialist that is Parm Me but label states Pecorino Cheese specialist but it is Parm, we dont have labels. We can only print that label. Wtf haha So, moral of the story. What is on the label is merely a suggestion. Hopefully when I need a Prime Rib it will be marked and priced as chicken. Anyway, Harris Teeter what happened to basic standards? If things are labeled wrong how does one find what one is attempting to purchase.?

a cake with congratulations written on it

First off let me say I am ONLY giving this store two stars because it's very nice and clean. I decided to go here for a promotion cake for my husbands big day, thinking this place will do an amazing job. NOT!!! First off, the writing was not centered, it was crooked and it looks like a high schooler wrote it, not a professional Baker. ALSO I asked for chocolate. I was very specific my husband wanted chocolate. They gave me vanilla with chocolate marbelling! I'm very upset I wasted 50 plus dollars on a cake from here. Next time I'll go to Walmart!

Always a nice selection of flowers out front, makes me happy every time I walk in :)

Everything stocked, organized and clean. The cashier, Anessa, was friendly and fast and, with the specials, the prices were good too.

Had a unpleasant experience at the self check out. The employee assisting the customers was very mean to my son and I.

I like these European style groceries because they actually allow for a quick and easy in and out with minimum waste and fanfare. So make sure you bring your own reusable bags with you. The bakery selection just inside the door is probably the most noteworthy part of a visit here. Then there's a huge selection of fruits and veggies followed immediately by meats and dairy. If you're following a low preservative, low added sugars diet, you can be done with your shopping within this first third of the store. As you come in, don't forget to snag the latest coupon ad. There's always some fantastic deals on meats, usually including grass-fed beef. Aside from what I call "real food", there are plenty of boxed and packaged foods to fit all the average American kitchen desires. Cookies, crackers, chips, cereal, canned, frozen, spices, baking needs, and so on. The far side wall has a huge selection of wine, including occasionally unexpected varietals like Tempranillo and Cotes du Rhone. A lot of European import cookies and chocolates can be readily found on this side too. And I would be remiss not to mention the large selection of hard household goods filling most of the back of the store. Think kitchen utensils, bowls, hygiene items, basic clothing, seasonal stuff, and fitness gear just to name a sampling. Checkout is sometimes overwhelmed and takes the most time to get through. Also, if your needs are for unique items, you will probably never find everything on your list here. Prices, however, make it worth the rest.

You'll find a great deal on avocados from Mexico priced at 3 for $2.50 and a regular deal on bananas at $0.59/lb. Incidentally, most bananas are not local unless you live within 20 degrees of either side of the equator. You'll also find maple syrup from New York which, as you may know, is the source of some of the finest maple syrup on the planet. RFM also sells plenty of Amish Wedding foods. AW has had some labeling issues in the past, leaving out ingredients like salt or sugar on a couple of products, but the FDA publicly shamed them in 2010 so it's possible that they've improved their ingredient labeling process. Don't hate. Just be aware. Overall, the produce is in great shape. It's fresh and there is a relatively large selection. There are meats, cheeses and eggs here as well. You can get some sugary drinks too, like Nehi, Cheerwine, Fanta, and Jarritos. They even sell Pepsi. Wide variety of products and many are reasonably priced. Anyway, it's refreshing to see a farmer's market close to a military base so that soldiers can fuel up their machines with some healthy things rather than junk food and Americanized Asian. It's not perfect, but for the location, it's one of the best markets in the area.
