The apartments are…read morebeautiful with huge windows, lots of natural light, good quality appliances (including in-unit washers and dryers), and plenty of cupboard space. All the neighbors I've met have been friendly, and lots of people have pets, so you're always running into cute dogs in the hallway--who wouldn't love that? The ladies in the leasing office are wonderful, and they've been incredibly helpful any time I had questions, needed to reserve the freight elevator, was late picking up a package, etc. I love the location as well. It's right on the bike/walking path and the neighborhood is quiet, but you're less than 10 minutes away from Route 2 in Warwick, which has any and every store you could ever need, and Route 95, which will get you to the city in like 15 minutes. When I was moving in, I was a bit concerned about being able to hear my neighbors--a common complaint about mill apartments--but I truly never hear the people on either side of me. Once in a while I'll hear the person upstairs walking around, but that will happen in any apartment. You can tell they made an effort to put in good insulation, and I appreciate it. The only thing I would note is that there's a very limited number of overnight visitor's parking spots, especially considering the number of apartments. However, my visitors have never had an issues parking, so I guess it works. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment community. As someone who's lived in numerous apartments over the past several years, this has been one of my best experiences.

Even if I would go at different times, he would still show up. I told Emily (the property manager) . She said she would speak with him, never did, and that he is a newly certified trainer, he's come into her office critiquing others about how they work out, but has been here for years and nobody else has said anything about him. Later a young boy intentionally strangled a little bird right outside my front door. I let the front office know. They said they would speak with the family, but never did. I've seen kids climbing into Emily's unit on a ladder through the second floor window when I was taking my dog outside for a walk. I've also had to call the police on her kids because that same day, they were yelling and throwing trash out their window at me and my service dog when I was talking my dog for a walk. I have heard other people on the property also complain about there being trash outside her kid's window because they rip the screen and throw trash outside even after replacing the screen. When I asked questions about my lease, Emily then switched the conversation to her issues with men, her ex husband, how she can't pay her electric bill, how men talk inappropriately about her daughter and then took a personal call right in front of me. I thought that was highly unprofessional and uncalled for. I was asking serious questions. When I asked about the exit fee, she told me my ex and I would both be responsible for paying it. A week later he got arrested for having no permit for a gun. She is also aware that I filed a police report for stolen items. I TRIED TO ASK IF THERE WAS A RELEASE FORM AND SHE SAID NO. I asked if she could change the locks and keys, she told me without getting a restraining order or having him sign a release form that I could but they would still be obligated to let him into the apartment if he asked. Suddenly, there became such a thing as a release form and they allowed my ex to sign it with no repercussions for him. At this time, they knew he had been arrested for not having a permit for his gun. Management willingly left me stuck in a place where I felt unsafe and never collected the keys or key fob from him either. Emily is saying that she spoke with my ex and that because he said he doesn't plan to return to Rhode Island except for his court date, it's part of the reason they are denying me early termination. She also stated he said that he is in Georgia, however the Georgia Sheriffs said he's not in Georgia. She said another reason is because he signed the release form, not me. When I asked to sign it FIRST I was denied and only reason I thought I should have my ex sign something was so he wasn't allowed entry into the apartment. He still has the keys and key fob. I'm fearful that he is going to try and come back/hurt me before his court date at the end of November. I had my lawyer send the updated temporary restraining order. (they said another reason they denied early release is because it wasn't permanent) Again, no sheriff can locate my ex to serve it. Georgia sheriffs REFUSES to search for him because he is not there. Georgia sheriffs said they were not going to continue to try to serve it because he is not in Georgia. The temporary restraining order is granted until November 27th, however not active until served. If something happens to me this month, I truly believe Emily is an enabler. I live in so much fear everyday living here. Lastly, we BOTH just received an email TODAY to renew, AND when I log onto my account it still says he is a CO resident. When I download the lease, his name is still on it..... They said he is still on the lease as of today because I have not signed an updated lease statement. I told them I cannot afford to live here on my own, and fear for my life everyday. They are threatening to come after my assets. My ex has not paid rent once at all.

Renters beware, this place is less than to be considered a good place to rent…read more Despite its appearance, it is not well maintained. The pipes back up on a regular basis which means they shut the water off at least once a week, and no they do not give you a heads up beforehand, go to take a shower and no water. The one main thing anyone should know before renting here is the HEAT is CAPPED, you are NOT in control of your heat. This place is cold in the winter. The window leak to the point of your curtains will move when the wind blows. There are gaps under the doors to the halls which creates a draft. The snow removal is a less than to desired if you have any issues with stability good luck they hardly ever sand or salt the parking lots are ICY.. The building are secure but most of the time the security doors are propped open by the cigarette buckets they leave out side the buildings, so if your looking for a locked building for safety its not hear plus all the building keys are the same so anyone from one of the other buildings can open the doors for anyone. They also rent to the state, for the mentally ill, there is a women that lives in the first building that will fixate on different people and yell and scream in the halls of the buildings at the person or people until she moves on to the next person or apartment. She also roams the halls of the buildings at night slamming the fire doors and randomly screaming and yelling. Building three four of the apartments having restraining orders against her. But management will not do anything about it. They do have washers and dryers on site but most of the time if they work people leave there own clothes in them so there is never a free washer or dryer. Plus it is cheaper to drive to the Laundromat. FYI hope you like cable for your internet service provider, yes Verizon fios is available, but its fiber to the building but its DSL to your apartment. So the final run is over a phone line,so if your a gamer or need fast internet service your only option is cable. For the 24 hour maintenance good luck they do not fix anything fast, and get nasty if you ask when they will get to it. The appliances are cheap and worthless if your into cooking good luck the ovens do not keep a constant temp, and the ranges take forever to cook, put boiling water in a pot it will take a half hour to come to a boil. For what they ask to live here, your not even getting close to what your paying for..

    Greenwich Place

    Greenwich Place

    (15 reviews)

Review of Greenwich Place Apartments - West Warwick, Rhode Island…read more I have lived at Greenwich Place Apartments for several years, and my experience under current management has steadily declined. Anyone considering apartments in West Warwick should be aware of ongoing concerns related to maintenance, safety, parking, and rising costs. Property upkeep is inconsistent, with broken glass and trash frequently left around the grounds. Lawn chemicals are also applied without clear notice despite the complex advertising itself as pet-friendly. Winter maintenance is a recurring safety concern. Walkways and entrances are often not adequately cleared during storms, making buildings difficult to safely access. After reporting that we could not enter our building following a blizzard, I received an email criticizing residents as ungrateful. Similar conditions occur during most storms, and I previously sprained my ankle on icy, poorly maintained walkways. Safety communication is inconsistent as well. Quarterly fire alarm testing regularly occurs without reliable advance notice, leaving residents unsure whether alarms indicate an emergency or routine testing. Several large projects, including window replacements and front door "overhauls," were completed during winter months. The door project removed standard handle locks and left only deadbolts, and months later many buildings still have temporary paper door numbers instead of permanent fixtures. Parking availability and enforcement remain major issues. Parking stickers were introduced with minimal notice and immediately enforced for residents, yet unstickered vehicles, commercial vans, and cars parked in fire lanes or handicap spaces without placards remain common due to limited parking. Management has threatened towing related to snow removal while allowing other vehicles to block multiple spaces and even interfere with mail delivery, resulting in inconsistent enforcement. Residents who raise concerns may face negative responses rather than resolution. Complaints have resulted in discussions about ending leases, and there have been confrontational interactions involving staff and residents in common areas and parking lots, including incidents serious enough to involve police response. There appears to be frequent turnover among office and support staff below upper management, leading to inconsistent communication and difficulty resolving concerns. Maintenance staff, however, have consistently been professional and helpful. Rent has increased substantially -- from approximately $1,735 in 2019 to around $2,400 today -- not including shared water/sewer billing or mandatory trash services. Shared utilities mean a single occupant may pay similar costs as much larger households. Over five years, the only apartment upgrades were replacements after equipment failure, including the hot water heater and heat pump, along with window replacements and door repainting (not new doors). Major appliances, carpeting, and most fixtures remain original despite continued rent increases. While allowing dogs is a positive feature, inconsistent enforcement of pet policies contributes to ongoing noise and cleanliness concerns. Overall, Greenwich Place Apartments benefits from location but ongoing safety concerns, inconsistent enforcement, limited upgrades, and rising costs make it difficult to recommend compared to other apartment options in West Warwick and surrounding Rhode Island communities.
