I'm not sure if the virus is causing an absence of daycare but employees had their children running around all over the place. Kids inside running around the bar and around the outside seating. I have been at this restaurant 2-3 times prior but this was the first time I went to Sunday brunch here. I will never comeback. We waited 10-15 mins to order drinks and another 45 mins after we ordered our food to get our order. I spoke to the Owner and he gave me a very insincere apology and told me that that it shouldn't have taken so long and that they were busy. I understand that they were busy, but they should not be busy enough not to provide some communication to their customers (which I am one). Instead of offering a solution, he started asking me how I wanted to solve the issue. Customers should not be put in a situation like that. Owners or managers should consider what the customer has already gone through and offer a solution. I am not looking for a free meal or discount, I just wanted better communication and understanding. We were paying the bill and the waitress informed me that the owner was taking 20% off the bill. I would have been fine with that, but she kept badgering me about the situation. I told her I just wanted to cool down, but she persisted to talk to me and basically through the 20% discount in my face. I tried to explain that all I wanted was a bit of communication to let me know what was going on with our order. She was really defensive and borderline rude. That said, we still have her a tip because she still performed her job at some level and we always respect people in the service Industry. Food is decent, but if you want decent service and customer support stay away. If I could I have would have put no stars. read more

The last 2 times we have tried to eat here we have had terrible service . We were seated in an awful area outside and server didn't show up. After 15-20 minutes asked for service and to please be seated inside. We were assured we would get a spot inside and then another couple walks up and immediately gets seated inside when we were there first. Waitresses have been rude. Prior to the last 2 times we were there twice and never had these issues. I don't think we will try again. read more

Fresh and delicious food! What a delight to have different and exciting food choices filled with flavor. A new spin on Shepherds Pie was excellent, the Fish and Chips were fried perfectly with great flavor. Don't miss the cauliflower appetizer which is yummy. First time at Harps and the food was delicious. I had the Ahi Nachos as a meal and had to bring half home. My boyfriend had the shepherds pie and it delicious as well. Service was horrible. We never saw the server once we ordered until she brought the check. A runner dropped off the food to the table. My meal was spicy and since there was virtually no server, no drinks. I finally found her and asked and she still never brought one.... but she didn't forget the check. Too bad my boyfriend tips well even with bad service. Doubt I'll be back. read more

This place is incredible. It has a small regular menu but you come here for the Signature Dishes. The head chef Rob comes up with daily creative dishes and they never disappoint. We go out to eat several times a week and this is our go to spot when we want incredible food, a great environment and amazing service. It's even kid friendly. My wife and I were so excited to see this place re-open. Some of our favorite menu items were missing, but we figured with a smaller menu the service may be better. This was not the case. It was not the wait staff, they were friendly, but the kitchen was in the weeds. I had it after about 45 minutes and I started trying to see in the kitchen. They were completely backed up and confused. At the end of it, we waited over an hour for fried fish and a burger. When we were ready to leave, my wife's fish was ready, but the burger wasn't. We didnt wait any longer. I hope they can get this under control so we can go back and try the new menu. read more

One of our absolute faves! We love the outdoor seating, excellent service and the food...amazing! Today is my birthday. I'm the cook of the house and I wanted to stay in. My hubby mentioned getting Harps to go. We usually dine in. Oh. My. Goodness! You know you found a gem when the takeout food is just as good as dining in. We were here for the soft opening and our whole evening was very enjoyable. We ate the Brussel sprouts appetizer and it was delicious. My husband ate the fish and chips. It was a large portion and delicious. I had wings. They are smoked and very flavorful. They had a great band the night we were there. Fun evening out! The wait for fkod was obnoxiously long ESPECIALLY for what we ordered. The waitress was a social butterfly and we could NOT get her attention what-so-ever. Had to have the Hostess help us most of the time. The "Manager" finally came over and I expressed my concerns and in one ear and out the other. The day before Thanksgiving my family decided to check out the recently opened Harps of Trinity Irish Pub and Grill and we certainly were not disappointed. From the minute we walked in the door we were impressed by how warm and inviting this new hot spot looked. Kudos to Wendy for the beautiful decorating! There are those little touches that impress such as a carafe of water and glasses for patrons who are just seated. There is a mix of high-top and low tables which are nicely buffered by well-placed planters. We were happy to see some familiar faces like owner Vince La Mattina and our favorite bartender Taylor. Manager Masahiko also stopped by as he made his rounds to ensure everyone was being well taken care of. Our waiter Hunter was knowledgeable and attentive but allowed us to relax and enjoy our experience which we absolutely did. Thanks for excellent service Hunter! The vibe of Harps was impressive but the true star of the night was the amazing cuisine prepared by Chef Rob and his incredibly talented kitchen staff. Our daughter ordered the Fish and Chips which we all had to try. The fish was properly battered and crisp on the outside yet tender and moist on the inside. It was obvious the fries were fresh cut and again, cooked perfectly. This was also accompanied by a tasty homemade coleslaw and is a dish I would certainly recommend. My wife and I decided to try the entrée special that night which was Grilled Mahi Mahi with Shishito Coconut Rice, house veggies and green coconut sauce. We were both impressed on how beautifully the food was arranged on our plates. The Mahi was grilled to perfection and extremely tasty and moist. The shishito coconut rice was bursting with flavor and was the perfect accompaniment for the fish as was the green coconut sauce for dipping. This was paired with a mélange of delicious roasted and seasoned zucchini, yellow squash, sweet red onions and red bell pepper. And if that was not enough the fish was topped with tempura asparagus. Wow! The flavor profiles all played together nicely and when paired with The Other West Coast IPA from local Trinity brewer The Escape Brewing Company. Truly an impressive meal! Harps menu has a nice variety of appetizers, salads and entrees to please all palates. They also have live music on the weekend but even on this Wednesday night they had a DJ coming in at 9pm to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday. Harps is a welcome addition to the Trinity area and one I am sure many will come to enjoy now and in the future. read more

After reading other reviews, we had to try Harps. It didn't really go well. We are glad they are open, and we would assume they have a limited menu like other restaurants at these difficult times. I ordered the cod fish and chips. It came with this coleslaw that was heavy on, I would say celery seed, that over powered the taste of the slaw. Fries greasy, and fish slightly over cooked. Our other plate was a salmon plate, it was ok. The asparagus that came with it was almost as thick of my thumb. This just means they are very fibrous and can not be eaten. Service was slow, but they kept apologizing. I would think that they would of had corn beef and cabbage as an Irish restaurant/bar but they didn't. It was ok we weren't In a rush so we tried to enjoy the atmosphere. The music was a little loud and we had a hard time having a conversation at our table. I was watching there Covid process, and was very alarmed to what I saw or lack of what I saw. For this reason we will not return. read more
