I have had the pleasure of enrolling our son, Rock, at Harper Preschool since January 2023, at the age of 24 months. We couldn't be happier with the overall experience! The following review encapsulates our journey and observations over the past year at Harper Preschool. Staff: The staff at Harper Preschool, including the dedicated Preschool Director, Ms. Chen, is exceptional. Special commendation goes to Rock's primary teacher, Ms. Kerry, who is not only a well-trained professional but also compassionate and deeply committed to the well-being and development of each child. Given Rock's age and for the first couple of months, the need for one-to-one attention was crucial. If needed, other teachers would come in to attend, ensuring a nurturing and supportive environment. This level of personalized care is made possible by the remarkably low student-to-teacher ratio. Curriculum: The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to balance play and structured learning. It encourages creativity, social interaction, and cognitive development. We appreciate the diverse range of activities that cater to various learning styles. Facilities: The facilities at Harper Preschool are located on a large private secluded lot, ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for the children. Clean, safe, and equipped with age-appropriate toys and learning materials, the preschool also shares amenities with a beautiful church and a large enchanting garden. The parking, exclusively used for the school, ensures convenient and dedicated spaces for parents during drop-offs and pick-ups. Communication and Social Development: Rock has shown remarkable progress in his communication skills since attending Harper Preschool. Additionally, the nurturing environment has facilitated his learning of important social skills. He has learned how to share, take turns, and cooperate, thanks in part to the guidance of all the dedicated teachers. Communication: Communication between the school and parents is excellent. Regular updates, newsletters, and parent-teacher meetings keep us informed about Rock's progress & upcoming events. As well as knowing at any time, your questions will be met with a welcoming insightful response. The integration of the Brightwheel app has streamlined communication further. One noteworthy feature is that the app notifies us when Rock is signed in and signed out of school, providing real-time updates on his attendance. Additionally, the Brightwheel app goes beyond by showcasing photos of children actively engaged in learning activities, offering a delightful glimpse into their daily experiences. Flexible Class Schedules: As my schedule changed, I was pleased to find that Harper Preschool offers a variety of class schedules. This flexibility made it easy to align Rock's preschool hours with my changing schedule. Safety: Safety is a top priority at Harper Preschool. The school has implemented robust safety measures, including secure entry points, attentive supervision, and emergency preparedness. In conclusion, I highly recommend Harper Preschool for its nurturing and caring staff, well-rounded curriculum, excellent facilities, commitment to the well-being of each child, and the emphasis on instilling essential life skills. We have been a part of Harper School since it first opened in Danville in 2022. We absolutely love it. The teachers and staff are all amazing. They are 100% invested in each child's academic, emotional, and mental success. The small class sizes are what initially drew us to the school and are a large part of why the school is so amazing. The school director - Ms. Chen - has been amazing ever since she joined. She knows each of the children and families and is very invested in each of them having a positive experience at the school. She brings a lot of warmth, enthusiasm, and fun to the school - setting the tone for a wonderful school culture and experience for each student and family. My child just loves her. As for the teachers, they are top notch. My child is currently in Ms. Swarnali's class and is doing excellent with her. She not only works with my child to improve any points of weakness, but makes sure that they are properly challenged in the areas where they naturally excel. The attention she has given to each my child and her communication with us as parents to work through any issues, etc. are exceptional. We moved to the U.S. in 2024, and our kids didn't speak English. Their journey started with Harper's summer camp, led by Ms. Mamta and Ms. Reinu - who made every day fun, engaging, and full of learning. The kids loved it and quickly picked up English basics. Huge shoutout - you rock! After camp, our daughter joined preschool with Ms. Swarnali, and we couldn't be happier. She is incredibly warm, patient, and creative -- our daughter absolutely adores her. The amount of activities the kids are involved in is incredible - from singing, drawing, dancing, and public speaking to science experiments and performances. In just a few months, she's speaking English, singing songs, and surprising us every day. Harper also has a big, beautiful yard where kids spend lots of time playing outside -- which we deeply value. The variety of activities, from arts and singing to science and performances, is amazing. Special thanks to Ms. Chen as well -- always kind, welcoming, and keeping us updated. We're so grateful to have Ms. Mamta at Harper School guiding our son's early education. Her kindness and patience made his transition to school a breeze, not just for him, but for our whole family. My kiddos have been attending Harper for two years now, and it is hands down the best decision we made for the beginning of their education journey. From organizing to logistics, the school's director, Ms. Chen, will keep you informed of every detail you need to know. Ms. Mamta, the preschool teacher, will welcome your child with open arms and will constantly have a smile on her face as if the kiddos were her own children. We've had such a wonderful experience with this preschool. The teachers are incredibly responsible, patient, and truly loving toward the children.
