Started off with a delish Caramel & Cream Iced Coffee while we bullshitted, caught up with each other, giggled, and perused her lunch menu; which changes weekly! I snagged her crazy-good "Well, Hello Sunshine" custard style quiche chock full of apple, bacon and yes I said brie. PERFECT for lunch and especially breakfast, as it just reminded me of a slow Sunday. Comes with your choice of cold Macaroni Salad or Berries & Melon; hellooooo mac salad. She was sweet, oniony when it mattered, and pairs well with the savory flavor or the quiche. So glad I got to taste her "The Roast Beef & Blue". For the small little bite I had and shared, she was a tad salty (melted blue cheese on the toasted bread too), but I heard from others, it was very salty so word to the wise for folks with salt sensitivities. For that sweet snack later - although, I did take a few bites before we left - had to get her Lemon Shortbread and a very chocolaty piece of corner brownie; with nuts! Yall, that lemon was perfect. She's not a sharp zing, but a mellow lull. Highly recommend at least one gal-pal lunch or perhaps schedule in some high tea! I hear she throws great tea parties!

I also ordered 6 classic twist pretzels. I ended up putting them in the oven to reheat instead of the microwave so they would stay crisp. Everyone that took a bite of them said they were to die for. The breading - stuffed insides were a perfect ratio. I can't say which one is my favorite - they were all so delicious! I think we could have done without the 6 classic pretzels, but I just wanted to have a variety for everyone. 10/10. Hands down will order again for a future get together!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not trust this company under any circumstances. Their claims of…read more"homemade" food are blatantly false. The pasta sauce is straight from a jar and has an artificial taste. The meatballs are frozen NOT made in-house, despite being falsely presented as homemade during the trial tasting for events. What they advertise and what they actually serve are completely different. This is misleading, dishonest, and unacceptable. To make matters worse, they promised a refund that never came. Only after threats of legal action did they reach out, claiming they would make payments. One payment went through, and the next two bounced back. This has been nothing but misleading, unprofessional, and dishonest from start to finish.

Some of them were what you'd expect for a $17 food truck lunch (which is typically a lot more expensive than fast food however you're getting something a bit more healthy, and it helps to support self-employed workers in the food business), while some of them were kind of dry. Unfortunately my bowl was one that turned out dry. If I was the only one that received a barely mediocre lunch I would have said something, unfortunately the other people I was with didn't feel comfortable with calling out the cooks for serving them overpriced stuff thrown into a bowl so we just dealt with it and moved on. Somebody sitting next to me had a Korean bowl that looked so darn good I almost begged for a bite LOL. This place has potential however they were more concerned about that quick $17 than giving their customers a 'true' $17 meal.

I wondered if dine-in would be the best avenue here, but service was quick and food arrived in no time. It was hot and smelled really good, but how does speed come out so burned? Across the board! Taquitos had good flavor, but were a bit burned. The taco? Also good flavor, but totally overcooked. It didnt look anything like what they show on their site. Queso and guacamole were delicious, but you guessed it, the chips that came with, while a generous serving, were definitely on the overcooked side The churro donut might need to be tried only in-house. It wasnt warm, much less crispy, and the dusting of sugar and cinnamon was exceedingly heavy on the cinnamon. The inside, dense and heavy. We ordered two, but two bites were more than enough. If I try this establishment again, it will be in-house. This meal? DoorDash was stellar, the food delivered, not as much.

LOL Been seeing The Village Piemaker pies at Aldi and always look but thought the same thing every time: Wow, that's an expensive frozen pie; why would I buy that when I can buy a Marie Callendar frozen pie for half the price; I can bake a pie just as well as anyone else so why buy that? Truth is that I struggle with crust and find the Marie Callendar frozen pie to be nothing like what I remember eating at their restaurants. And then the day came when I was having a caving for a pie, was too lazy (or busy?) to make one, and saw the last The Village Piebaker pie in the Aldi frozen case. Upon picking it up I was totally impressed; It's a heavy pie. Upon baking it I was totally impressed; It looked and smelled great.
