Bought a handheld shower head July 6th before noon. Asked ace workers what the gpm was for this…read moremodel and was told they did not know. Bought it thinking it would be a higher pressure shower head (with at least 2.5 gpm ) than we can buy at home in CA. Then found a handheld shower head at Lowe's where the gpm was posted on the box. Returned to ace with the receipt in hand less than two hours later and was told they could not refund the money we paid because it was marked Clearance. I said that I wanted to see the sign that said the item was clearance and the cashier said there wasn't a sign but "I'll put a sign for you!" I asked to speak to the manager and she said SHE was the manager! I offered to ask my husband to come in to see if they might have a different answer for a man. The cashier told me , "Go get your man!" THERE WAS NO CLEARANCE SIGN. WE PAID CASH, we had the receipt and it was less than two hours after the sale. I will never go to ACE AGAIN.

The staff are sometimes helpful, but not very knowledgeable on what items they do have. They are a "Green Egg" retailer. They do have one of some items. It was the last of the old-time, family-owned businesses on that block. Allen Barker, the last owner, closed it several years ago to take a state job with benefits and the flexibility to take a well-earned vacation. The fact he kept the store alive for many more years than it might have lasted was appreciated by his customers.
