It was such that I decided to write their Customer Complaint Team,…read morewhich is below: I am writing to formally document and express my dissatisfaction with Republic Services' failure to deliver a dumpster that was scheduled and confirmed for delivery on January 7, 2026. The initial contract was to deliver the dumpster on January 6, 2026; however, the customer representative, *redacted*, contacted me later in the evening on the 5th to inform me the electronic documentation she had completed, and I had signed, was incorrect. This resulted in the dumpster being pushed for delivery an extra day, the 7th. Despite this correction and the agreed-upon delivery date, the dumpster was not delivered as expected, nor was any proactive communication provided to explain the delay or offer a revised delivery timeline. This lack of follow-through and attention to detail resulted in unnecessary disruption, lost time, and a failure to meet the service expectations associated with your organization. At a minimum, I would expect: * Clear communication regarding any service delays * Accountability for missed commitments * Prompt corrective action to prevent a recurrence To date, the handling of this matter reflects a complete breakdown in service coordination, business knowledge, attention to detail and customer care. When I asked *redacted* if I could retain the dumpster for an additional week at no charge to compensate Republic's deficiency, she stated she was unable to provide any compensatory action regarding this disruption nor could she provide a manager or supervisor with whom I could speak. This failure on the part of Republic Services resulted in another 45 minutes on the phone to get this matter resolved. Not to mention, *representative*, originally provided a delivery date of the 12th but then changed the date to the 14th. This will make the delivery date, from the original request, now 10 days to obtain a dumpster. This has caused our company to fall short in the eyes of our customer which is completely unacceptable. Thus, I am requesting a written explanation for the missed delivery, confirmation of the delivery date, and appropriate consideration for the inconvenience caused by this service failure. Please treat this matter with the urgency and the professionalism it warrants. I would appreciate a response within a reasonable timeframe outlining how Republic Services intends to resolve this issue to ensure reliability moving forward. Thank you for your prompt attention. I have attached the emails reflecting my original correspondence with your Company. I look forward to your response. After sending this to their Team I received this response: Thank you for contacting Republic Services regarding the request you made. We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. Unfortunately, we are unable to complete this request through email due to the sensitive nature of the information involved. Your security is our top priority. Please give us a call at 1-844-737-8254, and our team will be happy to assist you with your request. We require a phone call for this type of request because it involves sensitive account details, such as billing, service setup, and personal information. Discussing these matters over the phone helps us verify your identity and ensure your privacy is protected. It also allows us to provide accurate and secure assistance tailored to your account. Thank you for being a valued customer. For additional questions and assistance, please contact us online at RepublicServices.com with your case number *redacted*. Sincerely, Dollie I then contacted the number which came to be one of their many generic automated response numbers. I took a chance, pressed a number and hopes I would have some luck. A rep answered and after my explanation said she could assist to which she asked for my case number. I then spent another 30-45 minutes going over the entire incident, verifying information, repeating myself numerous times; to then be told that she couldn't assist me as she was in the service department and would need to send me to sales. I was beyond disappointed and now furious. Ultimately, a gentleman in the sales department admitted the following: It seems the representative that initially set up the document with you did it incorrectly as well as the times after. With this, they gave you different and inconsistent dates for delivery. You signed the documents correct but it seems the agents on our end dropped the ball. We do however have a listed delivery date of 1/14/26 for a temporary container as it seems the last agent was able to have this done right. His honesty was greatly appreciated and took less than 5 minutes to receive. Republics Team failed tremendously, cost me time and money, and affected my ability to provide a viable service to our customer. Be extremely cautious if exploring them for service.
