We came here for a wedding this past Saturday. I have been telling every person I come across about…read morehow this was the best wedding I have ever been to. The location is conveniently located by the airport and airport hotels. Upon walking in we were greeted by a very cool dining card wall, coat check, and some history about the building. As soon as we turned the corner we saw the huge B29 sitting in all of its glory in the middle of the space. It was epic. The open bar was located right in front of the nose of the plane. I want to give a shout out to the bar manager and staff. They worked so hard non stop and did an amazing job. While getting drinks several servers came around with delicious appetizers. Guests could also get in line to go inside the B29 for a tour. After cocktail hour the bride and groom flew into the reception right outside the hangar door! The staff then served us a delicious three course meal starting with Caesar salad, steak and chicken with vegetables and potatoes, and of course wedding cake. After dinner we went upstairs to see the B29 museum which offered views of the entire venue. The nine piece band entertained the guests until 11pm. This was hands down the most fun and unique wedding I have ever been to!

Visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright Allen House in Wichita is a rewarding little detour, even if you're…read moreonly taking it in from the sidewalk, since the grounds are private and not open to the public, but you can still see a surprising amount while being respectful of the property. Designed in 1915 for Henry and Elsie Allen, the house is a beautiful example of Wright's Prairie Style, all long horizontal lines, art glass, and a low roofline that settles into the neighborhood in that unmistakable Wright way. They do offer tours, but this random weekday after lunchtime wasn't one of those times, so I just walked the perimeter and appreciated how the geometric detailing and symmetry reveal themselves from different angles, making it absolutely worth a quiet stop. Every time I go to a new FLW I always say "this is my favorite one." I truly think - 'could I live…read morehere right now?' This one I would say yes. The gift shop is so little and that is fine but it is difficult to herd the guests and the tour guide we had was really knowledgable. The house is nice and I think the normal tour is the one people should opt for because it covers what you want anyway. The best part, they accommodated us last minute and I really appreciate that. I wish that the gift store had enamel pins :)

My mother, unknowingly, made the reservation under "Jeff", my full name is "Arnold Jeffrey". We decided this might be a problem with the TSA. Over next three weeks or so I tried to speak with Angie to get this correctly. It took many phone calls to speak to her (she never would return my calls). Angie told me she was too busy booking travel for the aircraft companies to address this problem. She final agreed to correct my name, but it would take TWO WEEKS?!? I did get an email saying it was fixed. Didn't think anything else about it. Fast forward to 11/30, I am at the TSA check point. The agent says "who's Jeff?" I explain the situation. He sent me back to the AA ticket counter to get it corrected. By the time that was done I had missed my flight. Apparently, Angie had only corrected the flight out, not the return trip. Best part? Was the only flight out that date. I still CANNOT wrap my mind around how an "agent" is too busy to make a simple correction. Then screw it up. Too busy with more important customers. Way to go Sunflower!!!
