It seems like I blinked and missed the entire redevelopment of this whole area. I mean, it's been a work in progress for a while, but it never quite seems to be on my way to anything, or I never quite make it through here. So it has to be a destination, or you may just have to be a local to really explore. Either way, I'm a big fan of the way they've done it--with lots of small shops filled with local businesses, and then this Harmons which is a major anchor, still a local name, but done up nicely. This Harmons follows the pattern of all new Harmons nowadays; there's a lot to like, lots of fancy items as well as food items made by local producers, and they have it packed into a store that's not as expansive as one of their flagships--like, say, Draper or Lehi. If you're looking for a more interesting cut of meat, or perhaps a fancier mustard, olive oil, vinegar, or an imported good, you can pop in here. Tat kind of specialty market comes with specialty pricing, but it's not outrageous. And bonus, if you're really after something more esoteric and they don't have it, your gourmet heart can delight with the proximity of the Caputo's. All of the lux of the nicer, bigger Harmons with a more tidy and dare I say cozy size that fits the vibe of this newly redone Holladay hood. read more

Harmon's, while we have definitely had a love/hate relationship since I moved to this neighborhood, you have really won me back during this crazy pandemic time in our lives. I love that your location is so close to my house and is just the right size when you want to just pick up a few things. The thing is, I love this store, especially for it's cozy size. Of course, the few things you came for, always end up being even more when you are checking out. Some of my favorites are their homemade Basil hummus, fresh cookies, cakes and pie slices. I also love their other bakery selections and fresh baked breads. The employees here are super friendly and ready to help. This is also the store I feel the safest shopping in, so if you need just a few things, (which will end up being more than you initially thought,) this is my new favorite place to shop in my neighborhood! read more

Really nice shopping experience. Not your usually massive-store Harmon's. This one is smaller and more quaint. The meat section was amazing and very clean. Staff is very, very friendly. Good selection of produce. So awesome that they even have "pet parking" in front of the building. -1 star Expensive. We came here specifically for chicken noodle soup and a card for a newborn baby and her mother. The cards were all $9+ Way too expensive. This new location opened recently. It looks very modern and upscale, with beautiful lighting, lots of warm colors, and eye-catching displays...but goodness, it is tiny! My perception might have been skewed as it was busy the Saturday morning that I visited, but I'm pretty sure it's about half the size of a regular supermarket, if that. Yet they've made a great effort to stuff in as much stock as they can. If it wasn't full of people that would be cool, but I sure wouldn't want to maneuver a shopping cart in there! All that said, it's still a Harmons, which means a focus on local products, some specialty, and most high quality. Their butcher area, in particular, seemed well-stocked and comparable in size to their normal stores. The floral section always deserves a perusal, and you may even grab yourself a bouquet as it brings to mind someone special. They had several samples of food out, including some taffy, so that's a win for me. Checkout was quick and employees were friendly. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop at this location simply because I avoid crowds when possible, however for it's residents this is an attractive and convenient addition to the Holladay neighborhood. read more

WOW WOW WOW. Bravo to Harmon's, they seriously deserve a standing ovation. This is the classiest grocery store I have ever been to--I mean, there's a freaking mural out front. Tons of grocery items and deli, patio seating, a huge parking lot, and a convenient location. I throughly enjoyed the time I spent here. Harmon's is a little on the pricey side, but it's great quality and great food. Keep it up for sure. TIPS & TRICKS: * You know how everyone has a friend that they really tolerate well, but they don't LOVE them enough to get them an expensive $50 gift? Harmon's has the best option--Fancy chocolate bars. Nicest Harmons I've been into yet! You can get lots of local products as well as CBD products that are medically tested so you don't have to worry about quality. With the air quality in the valley cbd helps my sinus pain but I usually have to take more than the regular dose; everyone is different! They have sales as well as a foodie card you collect points on. Lots of options for my gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, or vegan friends. Decent prices sometimes things seem more than other places but that could totally be just me. Definitely favorite Harmons in SLC! read more

This review is specifically about the hot deli area, as I've shopped at this harmons in other areas and have had nothing but good experiences however tonight my boyfriend picked up our dinner from the hot bar, we have loved the chicken and Mac and cheese pretty much everything for years but tonight was a big miss unfortunately, please just say your out instead of giving out low quality end of shift crap. That is exactly what happened to us the chicken was basically burnt to a crisp, the Mac and cheese an odd brown color with green specs, same with the mash potatoes, it just seemed like everything went wrong. This small grocery store location of Harmon's packs a real punch of high quality goods for its size. If you work anywhere nearby, you really should include it among the list of lunch options on those days you want to get out of the office for a second. They have a great variety of lunch choices whether freshly made by their deli team, uniquely constructed by yourself from their soup and salad bar or conveniently packaged from the talent they have working there. I personally love this specific sandwich they make during the lunch rush. It's a skinny French baguette with roast beef mixed with some type of cheese or cream sauce packed into the bread. This thing is so good I typically take it home and inhale the thing while dipping it into au jus. They also have a prosciutto version of the sandwich and a Caprese version which both sound super good but I have not had either yet. I've done a lot of grocery shopping here. The employees are always very nice and helpful. The nearby shops do make this an attractive location. read more

Even if I could afford to buy a $36 cut up fruit tray, on principle, I never would. Harmons, while no doubt a lovely store, is probably best left to the people who are far past the days of worrying about an overdraft fee. That doesn't mean you can't indulge every once in a while though, right? Let's just say, for this particular neighborhood, a Harmons makes all the sense in the world and leave it at that. Every Harmons is essentially the same, but this Holladay location is a bit difficult to categorize, mainly because of its size. It's far too small to be considered a fully functioning grocery store, yet I still wouldn't say it's small enough to be a "neighborhood market". Still, it has all the amenities of the bigger stores, just with significantly less product availability. For example, you have access to the deli, butcher, baker, but they have about half the product when compared to the larger stores. An accolade, however, is given, for a nice and spacious parking lot. Nothing like the parking garage mess of the downtown location or the pure apocalypse now situation omnipresent at Emigration Market. Most Harmons have been successful because they do an excellent job of supplying you with traditional food options, while still interjecting more specialty-niche, items, and local flavor. That said, this location is probably best utilized for smaller, more specific trips. Doing a big grocery haul at any Harmons is out of the budget question for many to begin with, but I imagine the added stress of a smaller space and less access to items is going to make it less desirable for larger trips. Know that going in, and you'll be fine. For all its faults, it's a beautiful fucking store, you know? read more

If I had to marry one grocery store, I would ask Harmon's. No but seriously, I freaking love this store. Yes you will probably pay out your butt for simple items like milk, but it will be the cutest dang milk you've ever drank. We stopped here on a whim after our local grocer was completely out of lettuce, all types. And harmons still had tons of iceberg lettuce available. Then we ended up picking up a French silk pie as well. Also like a late notice, we did stop here about a month ago and they were roasting hatch green chiles outside and so delicious to go get a bushel of those. Just like they do in New Mexico. And by the way if you're looking for Christmas trees they have a bunch of Christmas trees outside right now that look perfect. read more

I went on my daily ride to harmons on my Onewheel and was stopped at the door and told I could not come in. I shop at harmons daily and each time I ride my Onewheel I turn off my board and put it in a cart. Why can I not bring this in the store turned off and stowed away? I was told to take my Onewheel back to my car...I use my Onewheel as a commuter. In an effort to save money on high gas prices this has been my form of transportation around town. Onewheels are not skateboards, they are $1,500+ machines. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping at harmons going forward if this remains the policy. read more

We were in the area and decided to check out the new store. The store is very small but everything is well organized, space efficient and clean. They have a salad bar like other locations, over priced like the other locations but at least this salad bar had a couple higher end options that other locations don't. We grabbed a few staples we needed and took advantage of a few sale items we saw. What burns me is when we got home I noticed all those well marked sale items were full price on my receipt despite us using our shopper/foodie card. read more

The best grocery store in the area. The gelato is fantastic and affordable. Their customer service is top notch-the employees are always willing to help. The salad bar (especially their dilled chickpeas) and sushi are favorites there! The eating area upstairs and on the outdoor balcony is very convenient and always tidy. The gift section is very nice-there's always a card, flowers or a small gift that I can find. Parking can be challenging, but nothing that stops me from going there. read more

This new Harmon's is awesome! When you walk in everything is very organized and it looks like a high class grocery store. There is a seating area upstairs where you can take your delicious Harmon's meals or desserts to enjoy. One of my favorite features is the gelato bar where you can pick one of many delicious gelato flavors. The parking can be a bit sparse on busy days but it is easily accessible from the street if you want to park close and walk over. They even have a little dog leash hook to leave your dog outside while you shop. Overall this is a great store to go visit, grab lunch or supplies for dinner and grab a quick treat on your way out. read more

Super cute and otherwise lovely, but unfortunately they don't have any disability carts (gophers? Jazzie? Who knows the right term...). We double checked the manager to be sure, and he said that not only didn't have any, but that there were no plans to get any, as the aisles were too close together to accommodate...So...a new build was built to not accommodate disability? Seems unlikely, especially since disability carts don't take up and more width than normal ones, and the good ones can turn on a dime, just like big cats can. Not sure what that's really about, but I won't be able to shop there on my own (you can't push a cart AND push a wheelchair), nor will many others who would otherwise find such a cute and otherwise easy supermarket to be pretty awesome. I hope they make changes that there's really no reason not to make so that all of us can enjoy it. read more

I like so many things about this store but I'm giving it a 1 star rating for one reason alone. Where are the small carts? Building a tiny store like this and then forcing everyone to use big carts is totally ridiculous! The checkers said it's because there isn't room. That makes no sense at all.
