It seems like I blinked and missed the entire redevelopment of this whole area. I mean, it's been a work in progress for a while, but it never quite seems to be on my way to anything, or I never quite make it through here. So it has to be a destination, or you may just have to be a local to really explore. Either way, I'm a big fan of the way they've done it--with lots of small shops filled with local businesses, and then this Harmons which is a major anchor, still a local name, but done up nicely. This Harmons follows the pattern of all new Harmons nowadays; there's a lot to like, lots of fancy items as well as food items made by local producers, and they have it packed into a store that's not as expansive as one of their flagships--like, say, Draper or Lehi. If you're looking for a more interesting cut of meat, or perhaps a fancier mustard, olive oil, vinegar, or an imported good, you can pop in here. Tat kind of specialty market comes with specialty pricing, but it's not outrageous. And bonus, if you're really after something more esoteric and they don't have it, your gourmet heart can delight with the proximity of the Caputo's. All of the lux of the nicer, bigger Harmons with a more tidy and dare I say cozy size that fits the vibe of this newly redone Holladay hood.

If you are looking for the best grocery store supplying gourmet food this is the place! Super trendy high end market that will break your wallet unless you are buying staples, but you will find quality items you can't buy elsewhere.

Really nice shopping experience. Not your usually massive-store Harmon's. This one is smaller and more quaint. The meat section was amazing and very clean. Staff is very, very friendly. Good selection of produce. So awesome that they even have "pet parking" in front of the building. -1 star Expensive. We came here specifically for chicken noodle soup and a card for a newborn baby and her mother. The cards were all $9+ Way too expensive. I noticed their produce was very expensive as well.

Cute candy display (Smashmallow marshmallows and natural taffy)

This new location opened recently. It looks very modern and upscale, with beautiful lighting, lots of warm colors, and eye-catching displays...but goodness, it is tiny! My perception might have been skewed as it was busy the Saturday morning that I visited, but I'm pretty sure it's about half the size of a regular supermarket, if that. Yet they've made a great effort to stuff in as much stock as they can. If it wasn't full of people that would be cool, but I sure wouldn't want to maneuver a shopping cart in there! All that said, it's still a Harmons, which means a focus on local products, some specialty, and most high quality. Their butcher area, in particular, seemed well-stocked and comparable in size to their normal stores. The floral section always deserves a perusal, and you may even grab yourself a bouquet as it brings to mind someone special. They had several samples of food out, including some taffy, so that's a win for me. Checkout was quick and employees were friendly. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop at this location simply because I avoid crowds when possible, however for it's residents this is an attractive and convenient addition to the Holladay neighborhood.

I recently visited Dave's to make a return and to purchase some supplements and unfortunately had a…read morevery disappointing experience with their return policy and customer service that left me feeling treated like a criminal rather than a valued customer. My sister bought several supplements at my request during post partum that came with a promotional offer at a later date. When I decided to return a couple of unopened items (within the return window), I was told I couldn't process the return without also surrendering the promotional offer--even though I was immediately buying additional supplements that more than qualified me for the same promotion again. The staff insisted on the full original card being returned, acting as if I was trying to scam the system by keeping it. The interaction felt accusatory and overly suspicious from the start. Instead of working with me as a repeat customer who was still spending money in the store, they made me feel like I was committing fraud. No flexibility, no common sense applied--just rigid policy enforcement that treated me like I was dishonest. I understand stores need to protect themselves from abuse, but this approach completely lacks basic customer service principles. A simple solution like issuing a new card for my new purchase or verifying eligibility on the spot would have resolved it instantly. Instead, the experience was stressful and left a sour taste. While the product selection and prices might be decent, the way I was handled during this return makes me hesitant to shop here again. Customer service matters just as much as the products on the shelf. In this case, it fell far short.

The employees in the supplements area are generally much nicer and helpful. Today I went for their anniversary sale. They had a wheel to be spun but the employee just looked at me when I walked up and said I had to purchase something first before spinning and that they will be there until 7:30. That was weird considering everyone else got to spin before entering but whatever. As I was in line to check out I noticed they were shutting down the table despite saying they should be up until 730 and it was only 7. The cashier was helping a regular customer which I understand bc she was elderly even calling for assistance to help her bring her groceries to her car. However she completely left the register to help her put the raffle tickets in the boxes without even letting me know or telling me she would be back. I stood there like a chump for a good 5 minutes. I had unloaded everything onto the conveyor belt already spending over $350 over the past two days. Only after the other cashier called her back did she return without an apology. If this is how you treat customers I will for sure not be returning.

Layers of crust on her head, hair wasn't growing through and it made her uncomfortable. Her ped scared me into antibiotics, antifungal cream, steroids, and none of helped at all or changed anything. Lorraine started treating her, first recommending a low sulfur diet, that we started following and the cradle cap completely went away, after nothing else worked! She ended my night sweats, poor sleeping, low energy level and acne related to hormones, by balancing my system with specific natural hormones and homeopaths. Our oldest daughter in the only 6th grade girl who hasn't started her monthly, and I am confident that is because of Lorraine's work with her, on foods, hormones and helping our whole body function together. She's a miracle worker and I think she can help anyone with anything. We would go to her all the way through disease, but fortunately I think we will avoid the big things because we have regular preventative treatments. The benefits FAR outweigh the costs. What is our health worth? This method is a lot less expensive, and more accurate than what modern medicine can see, beyond just a guess by a doctor because of what it sounds like... I specifically go out of my way to this location for Sedona sparkling water--it's that good. I already have other brands at home, but I come here for that one. Today, it wasn't in the cooler. So I took one from the shelf and briefly placed it behind iced tea so it would be cold when I came back after my workout--then checked out and left. While I was checking out, the manager on duty, Steph, was watching me closely. As I was leaving, I saw him holding the drink I had moved. When I asked if that really bothered him, he called it "weird." I asked why it's weird for a customer to want a cold drink, and he repeated it multiple times--calling me "weird" four times and saying, "this isn't your personal refrigerator." Despite being a regular customer, he also claimed he had "never seen me before in his life." The situation escalated to the point where I was escorted out by a police officer. The officer was respectful, but that's beside the point--this never should have escalated at all. I've never been escorted out of a grocery store for wanting a cold drink. Being watched, labeled, and treated as suspicious over something so minor felt wrong, and I can't ignore how it came across. At one point I was told, "this isn't your home." Noted--it's good to know this store doesn't consider itself a place for paying customers from the neighborhood. To make it worse, when I called afterward, the person who answered was laughing about it. This wasn't about policy. It was about how a customer was treated. And it was handled poorly from start to finish.
